The thing Gaza showed to the world is that you can talk liberal about human rights all you like, if helping you defend those means economic or diplomatic damage then it won’t happen. Then the situation will be ‘complex’. Your rights are and your life is only as valuable as the diplomatic and economic value that you have to those in power. So it’s up to ourselves.
