Li Auto autonomous driving head Kun Zhan said in a recent interview that Tesla FSD remains the industry benchmark, praising its safety and capabilities. He added that Li Auto’s autonomous driving team is aiming to reach that level. The interviewer, an industry insider, offered an even more blunt assessment of FSD compared with competing systems in China: “We’ve consistently acknowledged Tesla FSD as the benchmark. What I do want to criticize is the constant claim from some people that they’ve already surpassed Tesla, when in reality the gap is still enormous.
