This one fucking hurts. Catherine O’Hara was an icon of icons. Her kooky, over the top Moira Rose character made viewers fall in love with her but her role in Schitt’s Creek was bigger than tv. The acceptance and love in that show normalized queer couples to a mainstream audience and helped so many LGBTQ+ folks connect with and feel seen by family members for the first time. Truly one of a kind and will live on forever.
