Congratulations to my friend and colleague Maura McNally SC on her election as Chair of the Council of the Bar of Ireland. Maura, who I have known for many years, will be an outstanding representative for her profession, and I look forward to working with her on common issues.

Minister @HMcEntee’s renewed commitment to a new Family Law Court building in Dublin is very welcome. Citizens deserve modern, fit-for-purpose court facilities, especially when they are going through stressful, life-changing proceedings.

It was such a pleasure to meet with my Cork colleagues at the @SLACork Annual Dinner - and to hear about Carol and Robert’s new venture at the South Mall! Smaller firms are vital engines of the economy, and I will use my office to support them in any way I can.

The changes that we are making today will help to make tomorrow’s leaders more diverse, and training outside Dublin more attractive. Good luck to Sinéad and her PPC Hybrid colleagues - I hope to see one or two of you on Council one day!
