ब्राह्मण संप्रदाय में शास्त्र ही प्रमाण है जबकी बुद्ध धम्म में शास्त्र तब तक प्रमाण नहीं माना जाता जबतक की वो तर्क बुद्धि विवेक पर खरी न उतरे।
यानी कोई किताब खोल कर सबूत दिखाए तो ब्राह्मण संप्रदाय में सबूत मान लिया जाएगा लेकिन बुद्ध धम्म में तब तक उसे सबूत नहीं माना जाता जब तक कि वो मानवता की भलाई के लिए न हो।
