@NHLMedia @TonyMarinaro @TBLightning @mike_p_johnson Unfortunately I disagree with Mike Johnson, yes two players made the mistake of converging on Hagel but the play doesn’t happen if Tampa gets called on the intentional pick on Dach. Tampa has done it throughout the series and is getting away with it.

Typically, the next look would go to the high slot for the opposite winger On this attempt, Toews activates from the weak-side defence position and cuts into the slot. Finland does a good job recognizing it, as this likely would have resulted in a Grade A chance Also... a few additional examples of over-under plays with an active weak-side defenceman for reference (more down weak side flank vs cutting through slot)

Talked yesterday about getting some pace alongside MacKinnon, Canada going with Horvat and Jarvis to provide that. Suzuki slides in for Crosby. Look for Theodore to get a more minutes as Canada looks for more touches from puck movers on D. Finland/Canada starts now.

Add me to the growing group appreciating Mark Stone even more than I already did. The goal was nice, but he makes so many smart plays with puck. Teammates would be lining up to play with him, even at this level, which is the ultimate compliment.

@tim_micallef You’d think so but history has shown that bigger ice game is slower, more passive and defensive. I think you’d be disappointed.

Am I the only one that thinks...the size of rinks can no longer contain the speed and skill on the ice? And I'm not talking about..the extra 3 feet (though it would help) I'm saying these guys are so big, so fast, so good...especially at this level - that the rinks limit their skill. I would love to see this group fly on the old school big Olympic ice.

Impressive win by Canada, 5-0 over Czechia. Binnington answered all the questions that could have been asked and the team was very organized. Most impressive to me was how great McDavid looked, even at the highest level, he is a cut above with the puck.

Tell me how this isn’t goalie interference? He moved his glove out of the way before puck gets to him. By this standard, you can hit hands of goalie anytime their hands are over the white ice? There’s no way that can be right.
