I simply do not understand this argument. Democrats went all in on the working class over the past few years. President Biden and VP Harris walked picket lines with union workers, passed major bills spurring manufacturing across the country, saved union pensions, and I can go on and on. There's always room to do more. Mistakes will always be made. But this has been the most pro-union administration of my lifetime. It's clear VP Harris did not resonate with these voters. But it wasn't because she wasn't pro-union enough.

this is the correct take I think. this isn't choosing the wrong veep or some tonal issue. this is a general rejection more or less everywhere. i think a majority of the country was angry about public emiseration and chaos coming out the pandemic and punished the party in power.
