Congratulations Mississippi College Social Work Program Class of 2023!❤️

Celebrating MC Social Work Program graduates. I’m Hannah Hood. My plans include continuing my education and getting my LCSW, and practice in the area of grief counseling. I am so honored to be graduating with the social work class of 2023.

My name is Jenna Trotter! I plan on eventually earning an MSW online. My long term goal is to become a licensed clinical social worker and help families get the mental healthcare that they need to stay together! It’s been an honor to be a part of MC’s social work program :)

I’m Rebekah Murphy. I plan to begin working on my masters degree in the fall. After I complete my degrees, I hope to work within several areas of social work including the child welfare system, the prison system, the mental health field, and with military families.

Congratulations Queen! School ain’t easy, but you’ll definitely learn a thing or two. Embracing my calling and living in boldness.  I will be working with Youth Villages as a youth counselor. thankful for God giving me this opportunity and experience.

Congratulations Hayden Rowell! My favorite things are people, music, flowers, and the color yellow. I’m excited to work with Southern Christian Services. Here’s to a new season. also, super proud to be a part of the very best social work class MC has ever seen!

Celebrating our social work graduates. Congratulations, Julia! I plan to continue my education at MC in August at the Master’s program for Counseling! I’d love to open up my own mental health clinic one day. Social work is a great foundation to becoming a great counselor!

Celebrating our graduating social work majors. Congratulations Waide! I am Waide Jackson. I plan to work in the Memphis-Area after graduation and pursue an MSW in the future, with a focus on research and macro social work practice.

Celebrating our graduating social work majors. Congratulations Sophie! I will be attending Tulane University spring 2024 to work on an MSW in the hopes to eventually pursue my clinical license in social work and work in the prison system.

Celebrating social work graduate Mikayla Cumberland. My future plans include attending LSU’s online advanced standing master’s program in social work starting in May. I hope to be working with children and families after obtaining my master’s degree and start a family of my own.

The service learning component for SWK IV includes a social work senior being paired with a senior adult in the community. Ms. Elizabeth Buckley was paired with Hayden Rowell. Ms. Buckley is an avid reader and loves art. She doesn’t meet a stranger! #loveourseniors!

In the SWK IV class, Mrs. Mattie Hopkins was paired with social work senior Julia Lehigh. Mrs. Mattie is reserved with the most beautiful singing voice! She loves serving in the kitchen! #loveourseniors!

In the service learning component for the SW Practice with Communities and Organizations Mrs. Barbara Vance was paired with social work senior, Hannah Hood. Mrs. Barbara is reserved, one of the best Bible teachers ever, and plays a mean hand of Phase 10! #loveourseniors!
