@GijoVarghese_ Blocking users from India solves 90% of contact form spam related to SEO and web development services. It's a blunt tool, but it works.
English

It’s pretty wild to me seeing site owners, especially in WordPress, block certain countries citing security 😐.
It’s the world wide web!
You might just be penalizing legitimate users while bots/attackers can easily route through proxies or VPNs anyway. This isn’t really security.
For example, I travel a lot, and sometimes I order something from another country so it’ll be there by the time I get home. Random geo-blocks just break completely normal use cases like this.

@googlesearchc - not saying there's a bug in GSC external link counts... but it would be unusual to lose 15 years of links overnight

Maybe instead of rewriting Bun in Rust we can rewrite Laravel in something other than PHP?
Punyapal Shah@MrPunyapal
What if Laravel built PHP?

@gaganghotra_ credit to @DilumSanjaya
they're eye catching for sure.

@tak_dcxi Amazing news. The amount of time, effort, and energy I've spent on building tooling to set the correct sizes attribute values for different projects.
English

レスポンシブ画像で辛かった sizes 属性を簡潔にできるsizes="auto" がとても良い
☑️ ブラウザが適切な画像候補を選択
☑️ 複雑なsizes 属性を手書きしなくてよくなる
☑️ loading="lazy" と併用が必須
☑️ ファーストビューなど loading="lazy" が不適切な場所では使わない

@hostedby20i Needs JPEG-XL adding to the list, especially now that it's back in Chromium-based browsers, albeit behind a flag.

@lilyraynyc @facan "We like Schema in pages" - which matches my experience. Is that enough to quieten the "schema is just tech snobbery" claims from some? Thank you for getting these responses, Lily.
English

Got answers from both Google and now also Bing (thx @facan) about using separate .md pages for LLM crawlers
I’m not saying it’s right or wrong either way (jury is still out as many folks are testing the impact now), but worth reviewing these official responses…

@_toddanderson Clawdbot. Be much appreciated if you did do this.

@Data56738 @evanwch I assume you're subtly referencing the Nick Bostrom thought experiment on AI paperclip production maximisation?
English

@evanwch I heard they’re talking about making paperclips & how they can best maximise making paperclips - ha!
How cute
So, we obviously have nothing to worry about
I mean, paperclips? Literally making me laugh out loud

@SBakerMD @JanJekielek Matches my experience. Dislocated both my shoulders playing rugby at school. Had continuous issues with dislocations ever since. Not had it happen since going carnivore and now have full range of movement in my shoulders for first time since school.

You know you're getting on a bit when accounts say "imagine" about something you have a lived experience of.
cinesthetic.@TheCinesthetic
Imagine being in a theater in 1999 and seeing this for the first time.
English

@rossstevens_uk @DmytroKrasun Yep, that's a very good way of looking at it.
English

@MonkeysDoCode @DmytroKrasun That's a good point. Because regardless of the type of content, if schema markup makes otherwise difficult to read content accessible to Google, then schema still has a place. Albeit an edge case that should ideally be fixed at source.
English

@rossstevens_uk @DmytroKrasun I think Google got a lot better at identifying Q&A from the page content itself, and less reliant on schema markup. So less impact from FAQ schema may simply be an indication that your content is structured well enough that's it's somewhat superfluous.
English

@DmytroKrasun A few years ago I could implement schema on an FAQ page, and it would help it appear in the knowledge graph and increase search traffic.
I haven't seen any evidence of it doing that any more, especially since AIO integrated with it.
English

@LaurenHaughey_ @DailyMirror Interesting piece! It’s such an important topic for the UK. I noticed age and BMI weren't on the list of factors; I’ve always found it fascinating (and vital) how much those two can shift the needle on what a person actually needs.

Dear X, do your job and connect me with people suffering from food addiction, binge eating , food noise so that I can help them with whatever knowledge I have
Food addiction is real. Highly processed sugary and fatty foods can hijack your brain’s reward system just like addictive substances, creating powerful urges that override satiety.
It’s not a personal failure because its its often an engineered trap. Stop blaming yourself and start understanding the science. This graphic below breaks down the symptoms, the prevalence, and the industry's "bliss point" designed to keep you hooked (Based on research by Dr. Nora Volkow & Dr. Ashley Gearhardt)

@LadyBugDarling The meds are a supercharged, longer lasting version of that natural brake. If you're interested in how the Ileal Brake works and how to trigger it naturally, there's a bit more here: #your-body-own-glp-1" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">creativetouchrotherham.co.uk/blog/post/life…
English

@LadyBugDarling Regarding a natural version: the Ileal Brake is a real biological process where your body releases its own GLP-1 when you eat enough protein and fat. It’s your body’s built-in off switch for search-and-consume behavior.
