According to the woman, she was selling by the roadside when a man on a motorbike approached and offered to buy all her fish. She quoted GHS 950 for the goods, but they negotiated the price down to GHS 800, which he paid. It wasn’t until she boarded a vehicle and attempted to pay her fare with part of the money that the driver pointed out the cedi notes were fake. Initially, she didn’t believe him, leading to a brief altercation.
