3. "The Silent Zone" Akibat Shock Psikologis
Al-Fatihah buat seluruh korban Tsunami Aceh 2004. 🙏

The piano coda of “Layla” in GOODFELLAS (1990) is one of Scorsese’s greatest needle drops. A beautiful piece of music playing over the discovery of bodies across New York turns the aftermath of the Lufthansa heist into something unforgettable.

Steve Buscemi built an entire career out of being impossible to ignore. Hollywood spent decades filling movies with conventionally cool leads, and somehow the guy with the most unusual face in the room kept walking away with the most memorable scenes.

Steven Spielberg’s next film, Disclosure Day, is only 18 days away. In honor of the legend’s next film, I’ve gone ahead and ranked Spielberg’s 10 best films ever. If Disclosure Day even approaches this list, we’re in for a treat.

Henry Hill, the real-life crime figure GoodFellas was based on, on what it was like seeing the film for the first time:
"When I seen the movie, Warner Brothers had let me use the theater over there at the studio, and they said you can take as many people as you want. I think I took about half a dozen people. And I mean, I just sat there in shock. I mean, I couldn't believe it.
It was just amazing how he was able to capture it. And then just pull away from it and let the audience see it. I mean, that's what amazes me, the way he captured a whole group of, you know, a bunch of us low life fucks... And then make a part of it human. It was a numbing feeling. It was so surreal. It was weird."

#Cannes jury president Park Chan-wook says "I don’t think politics and art should be divided."
" I think it’s a strange concept to think that they’re in conflict with each other. Just because a work of art has a political statement, it should not be considered an enemy of art. At the same time, just because a film is not making a political statement, that film should not be ignored. Even if we are to make a brilliant political statement, if it’s not expressed artfully enough, it would just be propaganda. So what I want to say is that art and politics are not concepts that are in conflict with each other, as long as they are artistically expressed, they are valuable."
