Engineering & Design Project Day 1:
The students worked in groups to design and build a 10”+ wall out of index cards that would support Humpty Dumpty (raw egg) for at least 20 seconds.

Masters of Disguise - Today we learned about different forms of camouflage and the students created/hid camouflaged chameleons all over the classroom!

We have had a super fun time in 7th grade science over the past few days! On Thursday, the students explored sublimation with dry ice and today they made Oobleck and worked to determine what phase of matter it is. Science Rocks!! 🧪👩🏼🔬

I challenged my students to beat my Kahoot score and 9 students beat my best score!! 🤩 I have never seen 7th graders so motivated to study for a test before!

Who said there is no dissection in physical science!?! The students “dissected” models of atoms today and used their Periodic Tables to identify the first 18 elements.

@ESMSchoolDist Conclusion: Bounty’s claim that a half sheet of Bounty will absorb 50% more than a full sheet of the other leading brands of paper towels is invalid. The big take away form this lesson.. Don’t believe everything you see and hear on commercials!

🎯Target: I can collect evidence to support (or refute) a claim. Today, my students performed an experiment that they created to test Bounty’s claim that a select-a-size sheet of their paper towels will absorb 50% more liquid than a full sheet from other leading brands.
