A pretty awful night of bombardment for Kyiv region, up there with the worst. Demonstrative apparent IRBM strike, then wave after wave of missiles. The worst thing about it is that four and a half years in this kind of hell has been mostly normalised.

Kyiv and region have been under heavy attack for the last hour or so. Waves of Russian ballistic missiles, drones. An Oreshnik IRBM reportedly landing in Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region. Reports of at least three injured, but still early on that.

Russia has apparently used its Oreshnik Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile against the people of Kyiv tonight. This is not a sign that Putin thinks the war is going well; it is a sign of Russian desperation.

There's an air raid alert in Kyiv.
That's the second one tonight and the fourth one today.
The President, the United States embassy and monitoring channels are warning that a massive Russian attack is probable tonight.
Usually, that means hundreds of drones, dozens of missiles (ballistic, cruise missiles, Tsirkons etc). That's a sleepless night for millions of people when our homes shake from explosions, and then, in the morning, those who were lucky to survive, wake up to the news of destruction, deaths, suffering.
These attacks even make it to global media. But they don't get a lot of attention anymore.
We've also grown used to the fact that any night might be a hellish one for us.
Yet, we cannot allow to normalize that Russia kills civilians and kids in Ukraine every single day.
Russia has daily human safaris in Ukraine.
They've gone made a long time ago. Russia must be stopped.

If a deal is struck to end the Iranian conflict because it is believed that the Strait of Hormuz cannot be protected from Iranian terrorism and Iran still possesses the capability to destroy major Gulf oil infrastructure, then Iran will be perceived as being a dominate force requiring a diplomatic solution. This combination of Iran being perceived as having the ability to terrorize the Strait in perpetuity and the ability the inflict massive damage to Gulf oil infrastructure is a major shift of the balance of power in the region and over time will be a nightmare for Israel. Also, it makes one wonder why the war started to begin with if these perceptions are accurate. I personally am a skeptic of the idea that Iran cannot be denied the ability to terrorize the Strait and the region cannot protect itself against Iranian military capability. It is important we get this right.

Pathetic. Administration’s approach was doomed from the start. They didn’t understand or care about the cause of the war, started by demanding UKR give up territory, never acknowledged that Russia was the aggressor, bragged about slashing aid for UKR. How embarrassing.

We are at a moment that will define President Trump’s legacy. His instincts have been to finish the job he started in Iran, but he is being ill advised to pursue a deal that would not be worth the paper it is written on. Our commander-in-chief needs to allow America's skilled armed forces to finish the destruction of Iran's conventional military capabilities and reopen the strait. Further pursuit of an agreement with Iran's Islamist regime risks a perception of weakness. We must finish what we started. It is past time for action.
