M.S. student, Josh Wianecki shared about his research managing rye with grazing in a soybean production system. He is evaluating soil health, crop production, livestock performance and economics of 1) spring and fall grazing, 2) spring grazing, 3) ungrazed rye and 4) no rye.

Dr. Zac Carlson and Dr. Miranda Meehan discussed virtual fence technology and how it can be used to manage grazing livestock. We are currently using this technology to implement a patch grazing system at the Central Grassland Research Extension Center.

There was lots of interest in the research @NDSUcattle, Kevin Sedivec and I are conducting using virtual fence to manage grazing. Thank you @NDAgExpStation for supporting this research. We are really excited to evaluate this technology in different grazing systems!
