Glad I didn’t make the 22m trek from my hotel for this one, sounds like it was a terrible game.

I don’t think it helped that we were literally in the middle of nowhere, one minute it was scorching hot the next minute we were in a thunderstorm, and the home team’s fans didn’t come close to half filling their own stadium!

NUFC game last night was overall a bit disappointing as an ‘occasion’. Yes it was a friendly, but had very little glamour or fanfare. Didn’t feel like a big club had come to town. Great to see about 500ish Japanese fans turn out though, far more than I thought we had!
