NYPD 104th Precinct

This week our Youth Coordination Officers and Explorers participated in the Youth Leadership Council semi finals to help raise awareness on Teenage Dating Violence in schools. Great job!

Today, Traffic Safety Officers from our Q-Team were out at the intersection of Fresh Pond Road & Metropolitan Avenue educating motorists on safe driving and vision zero.

Over this past weekend officers were monitoring the local area for car meets. Officers quickly responded to the area of Fresh Pond Rd & Metropolitan Ave to shut down a large crowd with over 50 vehicles. We issued 16 summonses & confiscated 3 vehicles!

After receiving complaints for loud noise coming from Highland Park, Officers quickly responded, issued summonses and removed these large speakers that were disturbing the Quality of Life for local residents.

Last night Officers assigned to our Q-Team @NYPDQOL along with our partners at @NYCParks conducted various operations in our local parks. Multiple summonses were issued along with confiscations. If you are visiting a NYC Park, be sure to follow park rules!

We were honored to be on hand at St. Pancras Roman Catholic Church to ensure a safe and joyful environment as the community welcomed His Eminence Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke.

Today we gathered at the corner of 81 Street & Eliot Avenue, to honor the memory and legacy of Police Officer Anthony Giambra, who responded to the World Trade Center on September 11. Officer Giambra passed away from 9/11 related illness in 2017. We vow to never forget.

Another Tow Operation conducted by your 104th Precinct Officers. We successfully removed multiple vehicles freeing up parking for local residents.

This afternoon we visited with the Our Lady of Hope Senior Center to educate our older adult community on crime prevention tips and scam awareness.

Watch out for these scammers! Thieves across the city are targeting elderly victims by pretending to offer gifts while stealing their real, expensive jewelry. If you or someone you know has been a victim of these crimes, call 911 to file a report.

Not on our streets! Last night, Queens North CRT Officers saw two slingshots racing illegally on Elliot Ave and Woodhaven Blvd and immediately took action. One person was arrested, the two slingshots were seized and taken to the 104th Precinct, and a summons was issued.

This spring and summer, our dedicated Q-Team will be visiting local parks, ensuring every visitor can enjoy safely! Today, they took a special moment to say hello to the youngest park-goers in Ridgewood, spreading smiles and making our outdoor spaces a safer place for all!
