The 61 cops got another illegal gun off the streets! Always going above and beyond to keep our communities safe.

Watch out for these scammers! Thieves across the city are targeting elderly victims by pretending to offer gifts while stealing their real, expensive jewelry. If you or someone you know has been a victim of these crimes, call 911 to file a report.

Last week, in response to community requests, the 61 Q-team removed nearly 30 abandoned, derelict or illegally parked vehicles. The Department of Sanitation joined in this targeted operation, removing even more cars from the problematic locations.

After years of dedicated service and hard work, we proudly celebrate Officer Diomede on his retirement. Congratulations, and thank you for the lasting impact you’ve made over the years. We will truly miss your jokes, your stories, and the way you brought a smile to every shift.

No matter the weather or hour, our Q-Team was out last week actively addressing illegal mopeds and motorcycles, working to improve safety and quality of life in our community.

Our Crime Prevention Officer partnered with Be Proud Inc. to deliver an informative presentation at Bainbridge Adult Day Care Center, educating seniors on how to recognize and protect themselves from scams.

Youth Officers and Explorers from the 61 Precinct rolled up their sleeves on Earth Day to give back to the community with a park and beach clean-up. Special thanks to @61PctCC for providing the supplies.

⚠️ Vehicle owners, please take note Owners of 2021-2026 Honda CRV and BMW M5 models: there’s a growing trend targeting these vehicles for tire and rim theft. Protect your car by parking in well-lit areas and under surveillance whenever possible. Stay alert and spread the word.
