Amaechi is a funny man. Amaechi and his band of 5 nPDP governors joined APC in 2014 after the party had been registered in 2013 by a coalition of Buhari's CPC with Nasarawa State, Tinubu's ACN with 5 States of the Southwest and Edo. Could have been 6 but Fayemi had just lost his reelection to Fayose. Late Dr Ogbonaya Onu led the ANPP into the merger, Rochas Okorocha came in with his faction of APGA.
Therefore, Amaechi and his nPDP came into the APC after it had been registered and his influence didn't go past his Rivers State. As a matter of fact, Wike beat Amachi silly in Rivers State in 2015 despite Amaechi being the DG of Buhari's presidential campaign. Same way Wike beat Amaechi again in 2019.
Amaechi should calm down.

i know the EFCC is championning this as a win and the presidency is happy about this and it is commendable that they got a judgement but dont let anybody bobo you, that 33bn Diverted by the former minister is just about $25m its not even enough to construct the roads leading to the site. The 3050MW Mambilla Hydroelectric Power Project, which is estimated at $5.792 billion, the money the ex-minister stole is less than 0.1% of the cost of constructing this power plant its not the reason why the project has stalled.
