@Navi_Trades if you actually go to "settings" of the long/short position, and put the risk USD amount, save like this. When using it again to draw your position, you select the risk template you saved before or it uses what you had last. Creating limit order will risk below that amount.

For those asking how I set orders so quickly I do this in tradingview - set your long/short tool on ur chart - right click > create limit order - and then all you have to do is enter your risk $ (e.g. $200) and tradingview will automatically calculate contract units for u

Hi! Just depends on how you read it and where you start to trade during the month. You're right, starting from the top to the bottom, it's a 10% DD. BUT, in this example you were at +6, so the DD is "just" -4. Just statistical things, but what I note about this data is that you're just drived by series of trades. Sometimes you'll be in a good series, sometimes you won't. That's why I choose 0,5% risk / trade to minimize this.

Captain Backtest account update: Up $3400 since I started it last week. I've been keeping it pretty mechanical except last week when JPowell was speaking, I trailed earlier and stopped out in profit. Today's trade was a loss, which I'm not too surprised about since the market had already moved a ton, but I still entered anyway to test it out -- need to take a deeper look into average true ranges and CPI/PPI days but I'm also fine with the stop out because if I didn't take the trade and it ran without me I would've been more salty lol. Anyway key is to stick to the same model and just 1 trade a day -- and to keep the approach as "curious" to see the results rather than get attached to any one trade!

@JPooleTrades do you trail 10% stop loss straight away or wait till you gain some profit % to trigger the trail stop?
