.@elonmusk 🔴BREAKING: Elon Musk just dropped this mind-blowing update on Neuralink… “In the next 6 to 12 months, we’ll be doing our first implants for vision — even if somebody is completely blind, we can write directly to the visual cortex.” Blindness? Cured. Sight? Restored. Humanity? Upgraded. 👀⚡ From zero vision → potential superhuman sight (infrared, UV, radar… like a real-life superhero). This is no longer sci-fi. It’s happening NOW. What do you think — game-changer or too wild? 🔥 Drop your thoughts below!

@mario4thenorth You have a tax problem because you have a spending problem. The tax system here absolutely discourages work ethic, and family units, but you need to start with cutting costs, then reform the tax system. Incentivize families, increase the marginal tax brackets

NEW: A new economic paper was just released, laying out a framework for how Canada can completely revamp our taxation system to achieve greater productivity & prosperity. It lowers income taxes, personal and corporate, and instead shifts the burden on the GST, which is the least distortionary of the taxes, since it doesn’t penalize savings & has little effect on the economy. That’s one of many ideas. But the insights, logic and numbers are incredible. That’s what this country needs: A Big Bang to our taxation system. It needs to be revamped to achieve affordability.

Toronto has declared a Major Snow Storm and activated our Major Snow Event Response Plan. The City’s Emergency Operations Centre is coordinating our response across City divisions, emergency services, and the TTC. We have over 600 plows on roads and sidewalks. Over 1,300 city staff and contractors are mobilized to clear snow. Since last week’s storm, we’ve maintained surge capacity with redeployed city staff. City workers and contractors are plowing and will continue plowing non-stop. Please do not park in areas with “Snow Route” or “No Parking - Snow Removal” signs. 3-1-1 is equipped to help you with extreme cold and snow. Call 9-1-1 in an emergency. Check toronto.ca/winter for regular updates about City services impacted by the storm. Including impacts on city-run child care centres, recreation centres, libraries and more Thank you to everyone working around the clock to keep our city safe and moving.

@SueLubowitz @CP24 I find I get more movement when I contact MPs as well even on provincial matters. But you keep doing what you do if that works.

@Nickesims @CP24 MP would just send you to the MPP. Contact your Federal MP about something they are responsible for. There's enough to go around.

@kinsellawarren You do realize Carney is piloting the Canadian dumpster fire towards our loss of USMCA? Or are you completely blinded by your TDS?

@Nickesims @CP24 Maybe your MPP 's (not MP) office would be a better choice because this is a Provincial matter.

@CP24 I’m dropping my cardboard off at the office of my MP since the recyclers they require us to use won’t pick it up because it’s not flatted and cut to exactly 2’x2’

@grok @grok you are incorrect on the inclusion date in Ontario at 66.67% as that legislation never passed.

Effective tax rates on investment income vary by type, income level, and specifics like inclusion rates. For 2026, assuming single filer: Long-term capital gains (up to ~$100k income bracket): - Ontario (fed + prov): ~14.83% (50% inclusion; higher for gains >$250k at 66.67% inclusion). - Florida (fed only): 15% (no state tax). Top bracket (>~$600k): - Ontario: 26.76%. - Florida: 20% + 3.8% NIIT if AGI >$200k. Interest taxed at ordinary rates: Ontario 19.05-53.53%, Florida 10-37%.

Carney says there’s no more tax effective place to invest in than Canada. Since he took office though, $60 BILLION of net investments has left Canada. And Canadians bought $125 BILLION in US investments.

42 Million Dollars non-deferred is a big number but Mets saw the Bichette opportunity this way: 1) Rare to get premium player on short term deal 2) RHH continues balancing lineup 3) Elite clubhouse presence and competitor. Exactly the type of guy they want on team.

So now that the Liberals lost in the Court of Appeals: 🧐 Who is getting fired? 🧐 Who is getting charged? 🧐 Who will issue a formal apology? 🧐 Who will take accountability? 🧐 Who will reimburse the legal bills paid, fighting the Liberals? “Emergencies Act” 😂 Bro, they were peacefully protesting.

This was Freeland when she found out the court said they violated the charter of rights and freedoms when they invoked the Emergencies Act, her along with Trudeau felt it was wise to waste even more time and money so they filed an appeal. They lost again in Court today. Now what? If the Government can get away with violating the Charter with zero consequences what is the point of it?
