Two proposed high-speed rail corridors passing through Uttar Pradesh are set to transform the state’s economic landscape and religious tourism, with Lucknow emerging as a key station on the network. Announced following the Union Budget, Hon’ble Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman stated that the projects would strengthen next-generation infrastructure. Hon’ble Union Minister for Railways Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw said the Delhi–Varanasi and Varanasi–Siliguri corridors will significantly enhance connectivity across Uttar Pradesh and extend high-speed rail access to eastern and north-eastern India.
