@NickitalTV @LBJIV Outside of parentheses is what PEMDAS is for. If this question had parentheses, like (5+17)×2 or 5+(17×2), then you wouldn't need to think about PEMDAS. The entire point of PEMDAS is to tell you what to do when there *aren't* enough parentheses, like in 5+17×2.
