Yes, but I'm biased as a CWS fan. Great much of the time but really good all of the time and for a very long time. I can understand people saying no but the man was also very humble and classy off the field. To me, that earns the nod for a player who would, at a minimum, be in the upper echelon of the Hall of Very Good.

That doesn’t matter to me Is he a hall of famer.. no He’s not a good defensive catcher. He wasn’t an elite hitter the entirety of his career to have HOF numbers. He’s had some great seasons sprinkled amongst some vanilla seasons with mediocre at best defense He’s hall of pretty good
