Dear Corporate South Africa We really truly & honestly cannot afford to drive to your overpriced offices daily to sit on Teams all day on laptops we brought from home. Nothing else from my side. And I know you can see my screen. Sincerely, South Africans

No one tells you that even your dream job can lose its sparkle the second you end up with bad leadership or chaotic coworkers.

Youth unemployment isn't a statistic. It's a father who can't buy milk. A mother who lies to her children about dinner. A graduate who stopped applying. Dehumanisation is silent. Jobs are the loud answer. Not charity. Opportunity. Give our youth jobs.

We just moved R1m from our stokvel savings account to an investment account with an asset manager we appointed. We did not chow the cash. That felt good. 👊🏿

One underrated thing in life is having someone a few steps ahead of you who can explain things. Sometimes that guidance saves years of confusion.

The sixth love language is 'INCLUSION' Include me in your day. include me in your plans and in your schedule. Include me in your ideas, your dreams, your thoughts. Include me in your outings, or decisions. "Let's do..." and "I was thinking we should...". This is a love language.

I saw someone say, “My hyper-independence comes from how little urgency people show when it comes to me,” and honestly, that resonated deeply.

Y’all… so tell me why I went through my man’s phone because he’d been acting a little secretive and my mind immediately went to he’s cheating. I’m scrolling through messages, mama, sister, auntie, cousin… then I see a thread saved as “God’s Doing.” Now I’m mad because God don’t text, so I already had my chest tight thinking this had to be another woman. I open the messages and I see Apple Pay after Apple Pay. My heart is pounding. Then I read a message that stopped me cold. It said, “I know how much you love your son, and as men we have to stick together. Take this and celebrate with your son like you always do. I’d rather look like the stepdad that doesn’t do much than for you to look like the dad that doesn’t do nothing.” Y’all… I dropped to my knees and cried. My baby’s father had been laid off, and I knew it was hurting him financially and mentally, but for three months he never stopped showing up for his child. And the whole time, it was because my man was quietly sending him money so my son never felt the difference.

Having faith is so crazy because it’s like you can’t fully explain why you trust that things are going to work out, but you just know that they will.

You think you’re untouchable until life sneezes in your direction. A sickness. A loss. A job gone. And suddenly, the same ground you mocked becomes home. No one is above life.
