Your own manager is so bad tactically he had to cheat every single week on opposition to find out what they were doing because he was so far out of his depth. What are we doing here
Just Saints@JustSaints_

Tonda Eckert’s #SaintsFC and Kim Hellberg’s Boro had the same number of shots on target in the play-off final (0). Tacticians. 🪄

@Samwinton99 So the rule is very important to sporting integrity but in some unfortunate oversight it doesn’t account for prep for the biggest game of the season. Seems not ideal

@OWTSaintspod I'm going to credit you with the intelligence to work out why, in such an unusual game week, preparations may be slightly different to usual

Unfortunately part of a much wider societal problem where any defeat can now be positioned as unfair and taken seriously.

🚨 Hull owner Acun Ilicali confirms to @RadioHumberside he’ll take legal action if Middlesbrough get promoted. 🗣️ “Our legal team says we have to go for action, thats for sure. We have no doubt about it. All we want is justice. If justice is broken, nobody will enjoy football.”

By the way, this is essentially all he wrote on the subject. The Northern Football Correspondent published one (1) article on the original Spygate for the Daily Telegraph. And it was a news story on Frank Lampard’s reaction.

A systematic spying campaign back in 2019 just meant you wanted to win at all costs, a mindset that had “lay dormant for too long” in Leeds.

@TINKERCURL A more appropriate analogy would be it’s fine to do 70mph except on Thursdays when it’s a driving ban and potential £200m fine if caught

@OWTSaintspod I know it's 70 mph on a motorway but I can't understand why its against the law to do 80

If it’s perfectly acceptable and permitted to observe another team training 73 hours prior to a match, I cannot understand how it’s expulsion, up to £200m in lost revenue, and a 4 point deduction for doing it 72 hours prior to a match.

@JohnsonJack11 @IamBalhamMatt What about moving advertising hoardings closer to pitch to limit opponents who have long throws? Or instructing ball boys to remove the multi ball system when your team goes 1-0 up? Both unsporting. Both done regularly. Neither punished anywhere close to this

@IamBalhamMatt Fouling a good player is at worst gamesmanship, that has existed in football from its inception I’m sure. That and breaking the rules watching how teams prepare to play you do not have any parallels whatsoever.

#SaintsFC #boro #Spygate Taking the emotion out of it, if a club is exposed, for example, as instructing their players to foul high up the pitch to prevent opponents’ counterattacks, should that also be punished with expulsion and points deductions? Is that also not cheating?

@benjcar_ @Chi_Saintsfan It’s more like if handball was given and instead of a penalty awarded, you were chucked out of the game and the opponent was given the win. The rules are the rules. The severity of the punishment is the point.

@Chi_Saintsfan @OWTSaintspod It's really not. Something is against the rules, doesn't matter what happens elsewhere in other leagues, countries or sports. Like saying we should have had VAR for your foul during the goal and the 2 penalties we weren't given because they have VAR in the Prem..

@stechap2010 @shnurgmeister Doing it 73 hours before training all season to every opponent is a £200k fine for Leeds. They broke the “good faith” regulation. A new rule was added after that specifically for 72 hours before and that punishment is expulsion, points deduction and £200m.

@OWTSaintspod @shnurgmeister Congratulations on missing my point completely. There has to be some time point for it to be a rule, doesn’t matter if it’s 1 hour or 24 beyond the 72
