Love a good graph. I like AI. Views my own, etc.

just moved my UK Government Strategy Wiki to strategygov.uk — a living map of how 50+ strategies across departments interact, conflict, and depend on each other.
Built to help policy people cut through the noise and to show what AI-assisted knowledge work actually looks like in the wild. #UKGov #PublicPolicy #Strategy #AI #KnowledgeWork
Feedback very welcome 👇

I've been working on a more innovative way to engage with UK Government Strategy/Policy, using the claudecode + obsidian wiki brain from @karpathy but with an open source graph model. olanharrington-tech.github.io
It's an interconnected strategy web that links outcomes to commitments and highlights the real-world tensions that policy people actually need to solve and focuses on 'how is x outcome going to get done and what needs to be true for that to happen'.
Ideas welcome, but am running into rate limits in revising the content :(

You can check it out for free here: machinery-of-government.vercel.app
I've got ambitions to build this out even further so thank you to the countless many who have already tried it and given feedback.
I'm always open to more!

Open data and transparent government is essential to good governance, and I've been inspired by many other to make this.
Notable shoutouts to @lfg_uk's many campaigns, @state_britain's online data graphs, and @m_adams's San Francisco Gov Chart.

@Mariclara1128 On the day I submitted my PhD (about 5 hours before the deadline and being awake for almost 72 hours) all the plants in my living room looked like they were melting and the walls were wavy from me hallucinating. Just send it before you hit that point lol not recommended ha.

Used OpenStreetMap to build a map of public benches and seating in Glasgow that also shows the gaps in the city. Not all the benches are mapped on the open source tool, but people can “Add Bench” with the button to contribute straight to the open data. It’ll appear on the map then after the next update!
It's obvs a bit sparse but check it out glasgow-benches.netlify.app

@OlanHarrington Then also reinstate New City Rd, get rid of the M8 flyover and close the block again. Then we're talkin!

I often don’t share this kind of thing because it’s usually AI slop.
But this article about building a Chief of Staff with Claude Code is one of the best real examples of agentic systems I’ve seen.

Two thoughts on #SpendingReview, 1 is that the mega spend on the NHS is good, people out of work for health reasons costs a lot and gets worse over time. 2 pension reforms could bring more longer term investment to key infrastructure sectors. Good for long term.

Just want to thank journalist @NeilMackay for talking to me for his Big Read in today’s @heraldscotland We had a wide ranging discussion about #Glasgow’s history as a city over 850 years. It’s provocative in places but hopefully interesting too 👀👇🤔! heraldscotland.com/news/25205576.…
