@Bertrom I only met him once. He was looking at a photo of Jimmy Stewart on the wall at Chasen's. I asked him if he cared for something to drink. He declined, but seemed very nice and pleasant.

@Mikehomeseller I must mention Gino's. It was regional on the east coast. It was created by Gino Marchetti the former Baltimore Colt. He traveled with the team to California and he saw this place called McDonalds selling Hamburgers for 15 cents. So he tried it in Maryland. 😍

@acroce66 First time I saw it was in Vietnam! The Doctors had to sneak it in country because the Army wouldn’t allow it. They put sheets up and sat in the front row and watched it! I thought if I ever met Mr. Sutherland, Elliot Gould would tell them that story! I did!
English

@f9adults Yeah, you’re right! If you don’t do your homework, they go elsewhere! 🥰

@For_Film_Fans He was very charming in person as well, but Connery was the real Bond!
English

@For_Film_Fans I was Waiting on her and Billy Wilder with a party of 6. I was telling them about the items not on the menu. I noticed she was laughing (in a good way) and when I finished one of all time favorite Directors complemented me. Happy Birthday!

@TheBabylonBee People love Gossip about their favorite Celeb. I don’t think it would work having a Celeb that doesn’t really exist! 😎

@QuetzalPhoenix Him and Robert Blake were on Johnny Carson. Blake said some off color remark about Orson's weight. Orson Welles fired back and said he might be fat, but Blake was ugly and he could do something about his weight, but Blake wouldn't be able to something his looks.

@SaltyGoat17 When ever I saw him, Smarmy comes to mind! I did’t like him when he followed Stewart. Then he was doing the fake GOP person. When he moved over to CBS he was supposed to be more himself. I watched 2 shows, still couldn’t stand him! Smarmy!

Ronnie Clint was the General Manager of Chasen's for 30 years. This is his Obit. He was the one that hired me, so I have to thank him for some of the best memories of my life. And, I always try to keep the memory Chasen's going.christophersilvester.com/ronald-clint

@Hot_Pepper76 When I Waited on her in 2001 she passed a Diamond Ring around the table. I was curious to what Diamond it was.I looked up to see if it was the Burton Diamond and it said she had sold it before then. Debbie Reynolds, Carrie Fisher, Al Pachino and Beverly D'Angelo was there.
English

Only old Hollywood could turn a diamond into a global celebrity.
Richard Burton bought Elizabeth Taylor this famous 69 carat pear shaped diamond in 1969 for $1 million, roughly $9 million today.
It was so massive she eventually wore it as a necklace instead of a ring.
Elegant Hollywood glamour or completely over the top?

@METAVERZUZ Artist: This was done by the artist, Bruce Burton, historytrees.com/about He's had different designs over the decades!
English

@ohgeereadmore @METAVERZUZ On the far left on the edge towards the center. This is different from the one I bought in the 90's. The original one I bought was just The Family Tree of American Rock. I think they may have updated this to include other countries. I took this one off the internet.
English

@PLEPhotography @METAVERZUZ I’m sure Led Zeppelin is in there, but where lol. It should be bigger😂

@PaulDMauro This is so weird you came up with this, One night I was talking to Robert D Niro, D Niro asked about Chasen's Chili. and Christopher Walken was sitting across from him. I don't know why but I called him Jon Voight. I knew it wasn't Voight but for some reason I called him that.
English

That’s gotta be Walken, no?
Juanita Broaddrick@atensnut
He resembles Jon Voight and Christopher Walken. 🤷♀️

@Orioles I remember when everyone was complaining about the Colts and they went away. Bad Orioles is better than No Orioles!

I remember when she did Cleopatra she dropped Eddie Fisher for Richard Burton. This was major news for years. You couldn't go to the News Stand without seeing her photo all over the magazines. For Years. Well, Debbie Reynolds had been married to Eddie Fisher and he dropped Ms. Reynolds for Ms. Taylor, and Ms. Taylor dropped him for Burton.
So, it was to my surprise when they all came in for dinner and I Waited on them. Carrie Fisher was there and she had put them in a T.V. film called, "These Old Broads". Not only was Carrie and Debbie and Elizabeth but also Al Pacino and his very pregnant Beverly D 'Angelo with the twins. I didn't know about how famous Ms. Taylor's eyes were but when I looked at her in the eyes, they were the most beautiful I'd ever seen. I looked Ms. Taylor and Ms. Reynolds up later on the internet and they said they had made up on a cruise years before. See, there's hope for all of us.
