I don’t think anyone went in to that meeting expecting him not to be the manager next year. However, you don’t get to tell your boss you think he’s an idiot and keep your job.

@michaelfollett Fury is a great fighter but the body of work isn’t comparable. Lewis beat Klitcshko, Tyson, and Holyfield among many others. Fury’s resumè is no where near as impressive.

@wingoz Gonna disagree. I’m very happy Phil won and rooted for him all day. It’s an amazing accomplishment. When Tiger won in 2019 it brought me to tears, I didn’t have that visceral reaction today.

Here’s the deal: Jack winning the 1986 Masters was more magical. Tiger winning the 2019 Masters was more emotional. But Phil winning the 2021 PGA as the oldest major champion on the longest track in major history in the deepest field is the most impressive #PGAChampionship
