There are many good arguments for the resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth, but all are not equally compelling. Here's the one I find the most persuasive: wp.me/p2dVaB-4hC

In loving memory of Charlie Kirk, a fearless patriot & man of unwavering faith who dedicated his life to America. "It's bigger than you, I want you to remember that... It's bigger than me - you are here to make somebody else's life better, the pursuit of liberty & freedom."❤️

Charlie Kirk, a name synonymous with having the courage to speak what you believe and seek/welcome conversations with those whom you disagree with. I’m not a political person but I am a proud American citizen and today was startling, saddening, and maddening all at the same time.. I’ve realized that I’m a bit naive to how crazy it all has become but watching a man get hunted and slayed in broad daylight because of his opinions made me disgusted and devastated. This can’t be what we actually are or become as a country.. I believe that the good people will always outnumber the evil people but damn… today was an alarming day in our country’s history. 2 kids lost a dad.. a wife lost a husband.. and societal discourse lost a voice. RIP @charliekirk11.. I send my prayers, thoughts, and love to his family and friends.

Minutes away from the Super Bowl here’s my #1 piece of advice for athletes before big games. It also works for anyone in a high pressure moment and profession.

The championship celebration is on for Byron Nelson volleyball (40-1). The Bobcats did not drop a single set in the 2024 playoffs. They’ve tallied 13 consecutive sweeps while extending the overall win streak to 36. That’s dominance.

THE FIGHT My friend Donald Miller and I were talking one day and he said that everything seems to be a fight these days. Not the ones you see on the news or the political fights happening daily.   But the fight to be your best and overcome the resistance and forces that keep you from it.   I am talking about the fight to lose weight when every shop has croissants and donuts in the window and they actually call your name. I know because I've heard many chocolate croissants yell "Jon!" : )   It's a fight to get in the gym and work out when you feel tired or sore.     It's a fight to keep your kids on the right track. You have to fight for your marriage and family when so many forces in the world try to sabotage you.     It's a fight to stay positive in the face of so much pessimism and negativity.   It's a fight to overcome all the challenges and change in your organization and the world.   Nothing comes easy. If it did, I suppose we wouldn't appreciate it. It's also the way the world works. The struggle is part of the journey and story. The fight is part of the battle and the victory.   The beautiful thing about life is that we get to choose what we will fight for.   You can fight to build a strong team and/or family. You can fight to keep your great employees. You can fight to build a great culture. You can fight for the principles and causes you believe in. You can fight to keep your customers and grow your business. You can fight to stop drinking. You can fight to improve your health. You can fight to win your starting position on your sports team. You can fight to do what's best for our children in schools. You can fight to save lives.     You can fight for anything so the big question is what will you fight for? To answer this, you need to answer one more question. Is it worth it?   If it's worth it, you will fight for it.   If it's worth it you won't give up when it gets hard.   If it's worth it, it's worth your time, commitment, energy, sacrifice and focus.   If it's worth it then it's worth fighting the good fight.   Sure, there will be battles that make you afraid. There will be times when you fail. There will be days you get knocked down. There will be moments when you want to give up.   During your darkest of times always remember that stars shine the brightest in the darkness. Your greatest victory will come after your toughest battle.  Love drives grit and casts out fear. If you love it, you will fight for it and overcome your fear in doing so. Your vision and purpose are greater than your challenges. Failure is temporary. The character and strength you develop fighting the good fight is what endures. So, keep fighting, become all you are meant to be in the process and don't give up!   It's worth it and so are you!   - Jon

Dear VP Harris: I hear you make this statement all the time. Exactly what “faith” are you talking about when you say you don’t have to abandon it to support abortion? Are you talking about the Christian faith that says all babies are made in the image of God (Gen 1:26), that God places them in the womb (Jer 1:5) and that we should not take any life unjustly (Luke 18:20)? Are you talking about that faith or some nebulous, general “faith” that says we’re good enough, and smart enough to make our own decisions? What “faith” are you talking about?
Kamala Harris@KamalaHarris

One does not have to abandon their faith or deeply held beliefs to agree: The government, and certainly Donald Trump, should not be telling a woman what to do with her body.

Thank you to my amazing mom and dad. Who have been with me through it all. They believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. The countless drives, hours of film, rebounding for me. But most importantly taught me my identity isn’t in basketball but in God. Thank you guys! ❤️❤️

Tony Dungy said, "You will never lose emphasizing character over results. Be successful not just in what you do, but in who you are." Good character is doing the right thing. • It's your decisions. • It's your actions. • It's choosing integrity. Good character isn't just a trait, it's a choice that leads to a life worth living. It is living your life with integrity, honesty, responsibility, and self-discipline. Your character strengthens each time you choose what's right over what's easy. Tony Dungy on How to Build Character: 1. It's How You Do Things Be a person of integrity. Be honest and upfront with people. Treat people the right way and choose to do things the right way. When you have integrity in how you do things, people know that you care about them and that they can trust you. 2. Don't Let Anyone Else Define You Live by your core values and what you believe in. This builds self-awareness and independence. It empowers you to develop a strong sense of self and stick with what you believe in. When you learn to trust your judgment, you make decisions that align with your true self and navigate life with a sense of purpose. 3. Be A Problem Solver There will always be challenges and problems, but you can't sit and feel sorry for yourself and make things worse. Don't blame yourself and don't blame others. Think about how you can make things better. Ask the question "How can I make the situation better?" By asking this question, you are focusing on what you can control and how you can take action. 4. Drive Forward, not Backward Setbacks are normal. Detours are normal. If you didn’t fail, you wouldn’t build the character you need for success. As a character leader, you need to be able to drive the team and yourself forward even when there are tough times. Your ability to move forward will depend on how you learn from the past and use it as a guide, but don't live there. Control what you can control and look forward to the future. 5. Have the Courage and Be True to Yourself Have the courage to stand by your convictions and values, even in the face of adversity or opposition. Be your authentic self. Make choices that align with your principles and ethics. It cultivates inner strength and moral fortitude. This kind of courage and authenticity fosters self-respect and integrity, and is often inspirational to others. 6. Serve Others with Humility Servant leadership means giving to others and giving to the team. You have to have a deep understanding of people and how you can help others. You have to have the humility to know that it isn't just about you, but it's important to give. The smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest differences. When you support and guide others with kindness, you become a shining light for others. "You should never be defined by what you do, by the things you have; you've got to define yourself by who you are and who you impact and how you impact people. And that's the thing I try to get across to my players." - Tony Dungy
