@owenjonesjourno There will be more and more gender neutral toilets. My kids' old school went gender neutral few years back. New Burger King near me was build with gender neutral only.

If trans women use men’s toilets, they will be subjected to humiliation, abuse and violence. Anyone with any sense knows this. Which is why in practice trans women will not use men’s toilets, and will just increasingly be driven out of society.

Single-sex spaces - such as changing rooms and toilets - must be used on the basis of biological sex, new guidance from the equalities watchdog has confirmed. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

@MissAlly_01 This is like when I was stopped by the police at 3pm and breathalysed. They asked me "Have you been drinking at all today sir?" They didn't see the funny side when I said "I wish"

At Heathrow airport check-in I was asked, "Has anyone put anything in your baggage without your knowledge?" I answered, "If it was without my knowledge, how would I know?"🤔

@ZiaYusufUK Reform didn't get a majority of seats. You don't have a mandate to do whatever you want. Perhaps be more decent and collaborative, building partnerships and things might work out better.

🚨 This is incredible. The Tories have AGAIN jumped into bed with the Greens to block Reform and common sense from power. They’ve worked with the Greens to block EVERY Reform nomination to the management committee on Bradford Council, despite Reform having the biggest democratic mandate. The Greens now control the Staffing and Regulatory Committees. They spent 14 years running open borders and sky high taxes because that is who they are. The poor voters of Bradford have been stitched up again. This is why the Tory Party must be destroyed.

@ArchRose90 Just a thought but perhaps it might be good for the electorate he wants to represent to actually know what he thought? If not so bad, he can defend his thoughts and people can make up their mind.

“Why did Robert Kenyon delete all of his social media?” Like many ordinary people, Robert didn’t expect that one day he would be standing for parliament. He posted what he thought. It’s no surprise that we end up with generic and bland MPs when people are hounded over a post.

You need to give parties the opportunity to govern and stop getting in the way of blocking their administration I am a believer in true democracy If a council voted majority GREEN, I would be against Tories and Lab jumping into bed to block Green's mandate!

@jessalinecaine Bradford didn't vote Reform. They got 30% of the seats. 70% of the seats went elsewhere. Perhaps if Reform were more reasonable and collaborative they could form alliances and partnerships with other groups.

Turkish Barbers, Plastic furniture, Vape Shops,Phone repair shops and Nail Bars.... I'm sick of seeing them in every high street I visit. How do these tatty ugly places afford prime high street locations whilst all the local butchers, greengrocers, fishmongers, tailors(you know, things we actually need) have closed down? If you talk to shop owners they tell you it's the rent and rates that have killed them. So, how are these shops making a living? Are they paying proper wages? Are they paying full rent and rates? And are councils checking their books? Because I walk past some of these shops everyday. And some, I'm yet to ever see a customer in. So there is no way you are telling me they are making a profit. I think we need a full overhaul of our high streets.

@afneil Since when did effective political communication have tie in with reality 100%? It's all about the vibes. Dominic Cummings said as much and Boris Johnson and Farage are masters at it (especially on Brexit). First time since somebody from the other side do something similar.

Except that it purports to claim that the area (Makerfield) has been a victim of 40 years of Thatcherism (that’s what Burnham seems to be running against, which means he’s also running against the Blair-Brown government, of which he was a part). Yet the backdrop to his wandering shows rows of neat, well-kept, substantial semi-detached homes, with plenty new cars in the driveways and a vibrant high street, despite all the road works improving it. Oh yes and a state school so good he sent his kids to it. Put simply — the pictures clash with his words of victimhood and deprivation.
Lewis Goodall@lewis_goodall

One of the most effective bits of political communication on the left I’ve seen in a long time. A message and a powerful messenger.

How many of you have seen or perhaps used one of these hover lawnmowers by Flymo? This is a 1980s model and was very popular for a while until they were banned for use in the United States due to safety reasons from what I understand. They had no wheels and rode on a cushion of air so they’re very easy to push. They’re still available in other countries and even in electric models.

he says “working side by side with business” Manchester has had the fastest growth And then “manchesterism is the end of neoliberalism” and trickle down economics against a backdrop of Oasis, James and Elbow…. [also three clips of supporters effectively saying he should be Prime Minister, which is rather unusual for a by election…]

If you see anyone attempting to do that please convince them to stop immediately, your safety is our priority. We want a safe event today, we want everyone to enjoy themselves. Thanks.
