My attempted astrophotography last night, taken at the cowshed that I milk in.

Went out with a fellow photographer friend and this is my first attempt of doing some astrophotography in awhile. Thoughts 🤔

A glimpse of my fun photography afternoon out yesterday. Grandson makes a handsome model (and prop).

Have a photography friend staying for abit, so he leant my grandson his spare camera and lense and off we went for some 'photography fun'. Grandson is 12, and boy does he have 'the eye'. Just waiting to be sent his shots that 'made the cut'. Proud nana right here.

The sky hadn’t decided what it wanted to be yet. I knelt between the wet rocks before anyone else was awake, adjusting the tripod in the sand, wind in my face, nobody around. Just the sound of the sea. I opened the shutter and waited. Thirty seconds that felt like a long conversation with something that doesn’t speak. The water turned to silk. The cliff held still, the way it has for centuries. When I closed the shutter, the world looked exactly the same, but I had already kept it.

@tutugd Those of us with a connection to Te Aroha have tried to organize a gathering, eh @PouwelsDel ? I used to organize such for the Auckland BBS scene back in the day. We had some marvellous gatherings, including a medieval feast at the Massey Archery Club.

Before I go to bed at night I scroll through X to check how all my Wordle buddies did for the day and congratulate the twofers. Pity we can't have a Wordle convention to actually meet each other. 🙂 #Wordle
