KAYENN@iKayenn

Dodging math with 'structural drivers' is unfalsifiable. One correct call ≠ 20yr validity. India's GDP is 6.4% today, not 8% your own consumption multiplier thesis hasn't landed. V-shaped recovery was 🌐, not India-specific insight. Conjunction problem: unanswered. #Thalinomics

India's holdings of US Treasuries have fallen to a five-year low as the nation pushes to support its currency and diversify its reserves. Important story 👇 bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Today's two notable data releases: INDIA: GDP quarterly growth surged to an unexpected 8.2%, beating forecasts and reinforcing the country's status as the world's fastest-growing major economy. Manufacturing and domestic consumption are booming. GERMANY: Inflation hit a 9-month high, driven by services -- a development that will not comfort the ECB. #economy #markets #inflation #India #germany #growth @ecb

@Pranoy_Krishna_ Significantly, and more so than in Apr-Jun. Implied deflator growth fell to 0.5% from an an already absurd 0.9%. Our in-house deflator puts the pace at a 2.7%, implying real GDP growth of just under 6.0%.

@sciencegirl When survival is guaranteed, purpose disappears. When everything becomes convenient, curiosity dies. When you strip a species of challenge, you erase its need to evolve.

The 100 G protein goal starts with a high protein breakfast. Starting my day with yogurt, whey and fruits. Guava is my favourite.

A simple prescription to live a healthier life in India. - Consume 100 g protein - Eat 30 g fibre daily - Stop watching news channels - Belly fat is a massive red flag - Even 1 drop of alcohol is harmful - Whey protein is safe for you - Green tea is harmful - Creatine is safe for healthy individuals - Hitting the gym is your responsibility - Eating high protein diet is a must - Building muscle >> losing weight - Running on Indian streets is stupid - Never argue with UP/HR thar drivers - Smoking and alcohol will kill you - Government wants you to be fat - Never argue with society uncle on food - Home food is not always healthy - Air quality in India is a joke

In other words, Bank of Japan is reluctant to monetize the government's debt. Or in still other words the Bank is passing the ball of responsibility for the maintenance of stability back to the gov. which pulls the horses by the fiscal reins.
Robin Brooks@robin_j_brooks

It's a brave new world for Japan. The Bank of Japan's holdings of government bonds are shrinking on a net basis (blue). The BoJ is still a gross buyer - without this Japanese yields would explode MUCH higher - but this gives you an idea why long-term JGB yields are up so much...

🚨🟡🔴 Understand AS Roma are closing in on Leon Bailey deal from Aston Villa! Agreement very close after positive meeting with his agents and intermediaries tonight. Bailey prefers Roma over Spanish clubs, details to be sorted with Aston Villa and then all done.
