@ProdiptoDutta84 @satyaupdate @AITCofficial @INCWestBengal @CPIM_WESTBENGAL Valid points on safety and congestion. But structural issues require policy, not just bulldozers. Under the Street Vendors Act, rehabilitation must come first. Eviction without providing designated vending zones doesn't clear space permanently, it just creates poverty.

The hawker demolition drives at major West Bengal railway stations like Sealdah and Howrah have left daily commuters in a bind. While platforms are clearer, passengers miss the quick availability of essential food, tea, and daily goods. For years, daily passengers relied on these stalls for quick breakfast items, tea, water, and last-minute travel essentials at a cheapest rate. Moreover, it is impossible for the Daily commuters, maximum poor and Lower middle class , to afford the existing the Restaurants, KFC, WoW Momo inside the station area.

@miarose1224 @Anyohasmida @Warlock_Aditya Who said children shouldn’t have friends, relationships, or a life? The point is guidance, not isolation. Kids need freedom with boundaries. Real life experience without parental direction can also mean bad influence, risky choices, and poor judgment.

@Anyohasmida @ProdiptoDutta84 @Warlock_Aditya Do you are saying children should not have lives or friends or relationships? You want children to be emotionally and socially stunted without any real life experiences. Studying is good but it doesn’t teach you life outside. We need to make an example of this mother.

@miarose1224 @Warlock_Aditya Calling every bad parenting moment “criminal” removes all nuance. Abuse is wrong. But one frustrated reaction from a parent ≠ habitual violence. Context matters before turning everything into outrage and police cases.

@ProdiptoDutta84 @Warlock_Aditya What the hell are you talking about ? Stop victim blaming. The mother acted like a criminal hitting a child. There’s no place like this in civilised society . Don’t condone violence in the name of discipline.

@SunilSingh083 @satyaupdate @AITCofficial @INCWestBengal @CPIM_WESTBENGAL Classic emotional framing—show inconvenience, ignore years of congestion, safety risks, and blocked movement. Since when did demanding clean, usable stations become “anti-poor”? Stop selling victimhood every time basic order is enforced. Gov shoul give licensed subsidised shops.

@miarose1224 @Warlock_Aditya So now every strict parent becomes a criminal? One moment of discipline = “arrest the mother”? No wonder resilience is disappearing—some people want police cases for parenting, but zero accountability for kids ignoring basic boundaries.

@Warlock_Aditya We need to arrest the mother for hitting a minor. Just becasue she didn’t respond she shouldn’t hit her. The emotional effect it has on girls is brutal. We should not normalise violence. Can anyone ID the old lady ? So I can file a case This is harassment.

@gargiMu48960835 Exactly! No political boss, full power, full control—then who takes responsibility for Bengal’s unemployment, industrial decline, corruption toolabaaz allegations, and investment flight? If all credit belongs to one leader, accountability for failures must too. #WestBengal

Mamata Banerjee was a complete Chief Minister herself. She had no political boss. Mamata didi did not have to account for her work to any higher leadership. She could take her own decisions independently for the development of West Bengal, for the welfare of the people @MamataOfficial @AITCofficial

@satyaupdate @SanghamitraLIVE “Golden era”? If it was truly golden, why did public frustration grow after 15 years? Welfare has its place, but endless freebies without strong industry, jobs, & infrastructure raise hard questions about sustainability. Your high mgmt failed to understand common mens problem.

@PratitiLikhchi Calling it “attack on religious freedom” is a stretch. For millions, it symbolizes love and respect for the motherland, not religious worship. Some verses contain imagery linked to Hindu symbolism, but the nationally used portions are widely treated as patriotic, not theological

@DrRajeshPatil20 @aitcsudip @BJP4Bengal “Always stand by the people of Bengal”? If that were truly the case, anti-incumbency wouldn’t be rising so sharply. Staying with people means fixing jobs, corruption, safety & governance not just issuing dramatic statements on X. Public mood changes when people feel unheard :)

TRINAMOOL CONGRESS WILL ALWAYS STAND BY THE PEOPLE OF BENGAL, TRUTH & JUSTICE. When our party raised alarm over the draconian circular attempting to muzzle voices and restrict interaction with the media, the @BJP4Bengal Govt was FORCED to alter the previous order. First they issue an overreaching gag order. Then, after public outrage and scrutiny, they quietly dilute it.

@debraj_speaks @Jaideep08135714 Why is respecting religious tradition suddenly called “nonsense”? Bengal has always celebrated public expressions of all faiths. A leader can respect culture and still be judged on governance, jobs, safety, & development. Criticize performance if needed. We shouldn't mock faith

@annodomin1 @DilipGhoshBJP BJP in Bengal should be careful about associating with controversial figures merely for optics. Respect for cricketing achievements is one thing, but public trust matters in politics.

What has Saurav done for Bengal cricket @DilipGhoseBJP ? He runs a provate Cricket academy opposite Karunamoyee , Salt Lake in Govt Land . How many crickets he has been able to produce from there in last 15 years ? Why do you want to be seen with a through dhandabaaz who called RG Kar r@pe an accident and declared Kolkata a safe city . Why was he given land in Salboni and then Garbeta ? As a cricketer , he was undoubtedly superb , but post cricket he is plain and simple Dhandabaaz .

@Krishh00999 @viprabuddhi @SuvenduWB Careful — don’t repeat the same politics you criticised. Supporting underprivileged women is important, but long-term trust comes from jobs, safety, healthcare, education and better governance — not an endless freebies competition. Empowerment should outlast election cycles.

BJP has effectively solidified its female vote bank in Bengal now 🪷 > Women are v happy to learn that they can travel for free on govt buses in the state from June 1st 🚍 > Additionally, women who got ₹1.5k under Laxmi Bhandar will get ₹3k under Annapurna Yojana from June 1st as well 🌾 > The women who voted TMC this time will move en masse to BJP by next election 🚩

@AsIfICare96 @vedant628 Livelihood is important, but public roads are for the public. It cannot be justified forever bcoz it existed for years.Congestion & poor urban planning are results of exactly this normalisation. Compassion matters — but so do pedestrians, traffic, ambulances, and civic order.

They celebrate removing hawkers as an achievement. But how peacefully can one sleep after taking away another person’s only means of survival? They existed for years — what sudden crisis did they create now? And the next five years? We will observe quietly. We will... #ATweets

@Iam_Rohit_G Strange how every arrest suddenly becomes “Muslim” when politics needs outrage. If miscreants are arrested, call them accused — not representatives of a religion. Governance must be judged on fairness, not communal scorecards designed to harvest fear and votes.

@katrinazwarrior No one is against poor people earning. But livelihood cannot justify permanent road and footpath encroachment. Government should have created proper vending zones and allotted spaces years ago. Civic order and livelihoods must coexist — not one at the cost of everyone else.

Kolkata is the only metropolitan city where you can eat all day for just ₹100. Even the poorest can live with basic necessities. Seeing the middleclass celebrate bulldozer actions enrages me to the core. It’s like cosmetic urbanism matters more to them than people’s livelihoods.

@Tanmoy_Fetsu Rabindranath’s “Juta Abishkar” was about practical solutions, not normalising disorder. Rehabilitation?.Absolutely, should have happened years ago. But if footpaths stop being for pedestrians, where is the practicality in making citizens adjust forever to encroachment?.

@subhankar_cong Bengal’s culture was never chaos, blocked footpaths or roads turning unwalkable. Opposing arbitrary action is fair, but normalising years of unchecked encroachment made civic life harder too. Kolkata is a mega city — citizens deserve cleaner, safer, better-planned public spaces.

"Look, this isn't the culture of Bengal. This is the culture of bulldozers. We will continue to oppose it. But I also want to give this government a chance. You have just come to power... This wasn't the BJP's soil, but when the BJP gained strength, it came to power. I accept and respect the public's opinion. At the same time, the new government has everyone's expectations. We want them to fulfill their expectations. If they aren't, we will meet you on the streets."

@RohitDu48986022 @SunilSingh083 No one enjoys seeing livelihoods disrupted — it’s unfair. But if you were truly concerned, why weren’t proper vending zones or rehabilitation planned during years in power? Turning road and footpath encroachment into vote-bank politics only delayed an inevitable correction.
