Today #AvHStudyTour brought us to the Biohof Wölfert in Meeder. This family-­run farm uses organic agriculture practices and has been around for 25 years. Our crowning glory was to bake a traditional Kuchen with Emmer flour from the farm, dedicated to @AvHStiftung of course!

Excited to share our study on single-cell & bacterial ageing! Our model reveals how stochastic damage production & asymmetric partitioning shape demographic patterns. Exciting findings in E.coli data include non-exponential mortality rates & the role of stochastic division times.

Recruiting postdocs to work at the intersection of phage therapy and evolutionary biology. Topics include coevolutionary phage training, phage-bacterial interaction networks (PBINs), and predicting PBINs from genome sequences. E-mail jrmeyer@ucsd.edu with CVs or other inquiries.
