In a massive warning sign for the GOP, R turnout for the 2026 primary fully collapsed compared to ‘22 levels. While the GOP did not have a competitive primary, neither did Dems, who managed to maintain or succeed ‘22 turnout levels in all competitive senate districts. #PApolitics

@SoutheastPA4USA Dems had 2 competitive congressional primaries statewide, but only one overlapped one of these four districts, which was already stated. You are factually incorrect! Try again.

@Progress4PA Dems had 3 competitive congressional primaries to Republicans 0. Definitely an enthusiasm gap (it's a Dem midterm, 22 was a Rep midterm), but you also are factually incorrect! Try again.

In the same way that voter registrations and special elections aren’t predictors of general elections, primary turnout alone can’t tell us how November will pan out. But this data can give us a better idea of how voter enthusiasm is shaping up for the general.

A competitive state senate primary paired with overlap from a crowded congressional field may have boosted D turnout in SD 16, but there were no competitive primaries in the other three districts. The GOP primary in the 16th had the steepest decline, with turnout cut in half.

@Progress4PA In 2022 more Dems voted in the SD40 primary than Republicans? Thats surprising considering the general election went red by 10 points. Independents?

Really stunning enthusiasm gap coming out of Pennsylvania last night - not every day that you see Democratic turnout lapping Republicans here by ***450,000 votes***

70% of the 50th ward has reported and it's a tight 3-way race with Rabb in the lead. Rabb represents this area but it's not the more progressive part of his district.

WOW. In PA Special news, Democrat Ron Ruman leads Republican George Margetas by nearly 40 points in the early vote in this Trump +34 district.

Poll worker here said turnout so far is better among Ds then Rs. And the one R who stopped to chat said he's still a registered R even though he dislikes Trump and plans to vote straight D in November. Why stay R? "That's a good question," the man replied. He didn't answer.

@JonahA59 @Ericrse37986 Internals are showing that Stanford and Street are eating into each others bases. Rabb has a decent shot + the environment is leaning way more progressive than 2023.

@Ericrse37986 I agree but this doesn’t include the Domb or Brown voters who I think will break for Street more than the other two. There are many differences between the two races but I think they’ll more or less cancel each other out.

Made a vote density map of PA3. I doubt many young white transplants have even heard of Overbrook or Cedarbrook let alone been there, yet they're a big % of voters.

There are three brutal @PASenateGOP primary races on the ballot Tuesday. Any three of them could kick out a long-term incumbent challenged by MAGA and gambling interests aligning. I’m fascinated to see which or if any or all of the three incumbents lose.

@Progress4PA lol but honestly for Dems in Westmoreland & Mercer to be outpacing Dems in Beaver is pretty surprising, so who’s to say he’s not shoring up Beaver GOP totals against the tide?

I'm seeing lots of "don't tell people not to panic" on the TL today. So if you have friends in PA GOP leadership... maybe do tell them the time for panic has arrived?
