Forza Horizon 5 included a feature where non-player characters addressed players using names pulled from their Microsoft Xbox accounts. This created a deadnaming problem for some transgender players whose account names did not reflect their current identity.
The developers had introduced pronoun options and different body types in 2021 to promote inclusivity. However, the name-pulling mechanic during the game’s introduction led to unintended issues.
In response, Forza Horizon 6 adds a prompt in the character creator asking players to confirm if they are comfortable with their Xbox account name being used by NPCs.

BF has a lot of negatives already on quality over the original. Lazy changes which isn't surprising SnB is the same.

Ubisoft has announced a record €1.3 billion operating loss for its fiscal year ending March 2026.
Net bookings dropped 17.4% to €1.53 billion, impacted by underwhelming game launches and development delays.
In response, the company implemented cost-cutting measures, including the reduction of about 1,200 jobs and €118 million in fixed costs.
Ubisoft predicts an 8-9% decline in sales and a high single-digit loss margin for the 2026-27 fiscal year, but anticipates returning to profit and generating positive cash flow by 2027-28.

@lingeriegoat @Pirat_Nation I used to moderate as a hobby when discord was still growing for a few ubisoft discord servers to see a perspective of community management I've never engaged with. Once the troons entered the ecosystem the whole management was rotted away within 2 years on every server.

I used to manage an online TTRPG community, and it ran perfectly fine for 2 years. Then, one of the other people that I ran it with let in a troon. I said no, dont let them in, its a bad idea, lets just ban them now. He didnt listen.
Within 2 months they managed to turn all the role play channels into disgusting fetish ERP rooms, even though we kept telling people to stop because it was an all-ages server and its wildly inappropriate and illegal to be talking to children that way. He also managed to convince the mods to coup the guy who advocated for them to be able to join in the first place because they "didnt feel safe" around him. And any pushback against him was met with "Im TRANS and youre all being TRANSPHOBIC".
I eventually just gave the community to another guy and left. It lasted about another 4 months before it dissolved due to in fighting, but not before it became a disgusting hell hole that was basically just a fetish porn server.
I was pretty disappointed because I really did like that community, and i said right then id never ever ever ever ever let another troon infiltrate anything i built ever again.

Garry Newman, the developer behind Garry’s Mod and Rust, has reportedly been permanently banned from Knockoutchat, a major unofficial community forum for his games and s&box.
Knockoutchat was created by former Facepunch moderators and community members after Newman shut down the official Facepunch Forums in 2019 because they had become expensive to moderate and increasingly toxic.
The ban happened after some users asked Newman to publicly distance himself from comments and opinions associated with certain coworkers or friends. He declined, and several moderators then issued permanent bans one after another.

Riot Games has released a new update for Valorant’s Vanguard anti-cheat system aimed at stopping advanced DMA (Direct Memory Access) cheating hardware.
Vanguard anticheat now damages the firmware of these devices upon detection. It can be repaired, but bricking a person's hardware without their consent or knowledge is highly illegal
The update targets certain SATA and NVMe firmware setups commonly used in expensive DMA cheating devices.
These cheats rely on external hardware to read game memory while bypassing traditional anti-cheat detection methods.
Some users claim Vanguard now triggers IOMMU-related warnings that can temporarily block affected hardware until system settings or firmware are updated.
These DMA cheats have become popular in competitive games because they bypass many kernel-level anti-cheat systems.
Riot has worked with motherboard manufacturers including ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, and ASRock to address firmware vulnerabilities related to DMA access.
