I should dearly love that the world should be ever so little better for my presence. Even on this small stage we have our two sides, and something might be done by throwing all one's weight on the scale of breadth,

21st May 2026 Scaling the world’s highest peak with unmatched courage and determination, BSF’s first ever All Women Mt. Everest Expedition Team has scripted history under #MissionVandeMataram by successfully summiting Mt. Everest. The BSF’s First all women mountaineering team comprising of Constable Kouser Fatima from Ladakh, Constable Munmun Ghosh from West Bengal, Constable Rabeka Singh from Uttarakhand and Constable Tsering Chorol from Kargil, successfully summited the Mt Everest (8848.86 M) at 8 AM (IST) today. Celebrating the BSF Diamond Jubilee Year, the Mahila Seema Praharis carried the spirit of ‘Vande Mataram’ to the top of the world. At an altitude where most people require oxygen support and even standing upright is a challenge, they sang Vande Mataram in one unwavering voice - creating a historic milestone that reflects the strength, resilience and indomitable spirit of Nari Shakti. This extraordinary achievement stands as a proud symbol of women empowerment, national pride and the BSF’s steadfast commitment to excellence. #VandeMataram #BSF #NariShakti #BSF_DiamondJubilee #हीरक_जयंती_उत्सव

At the National Press Club in the US on 9 Nov, 1961 Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru was grilled by the foreign press. Yet he stood there alone & answered each question himself without hiding behind a wall of bureaucrats or script & teleprompter didn't exist then. I know this tweet will draw a flood of abuse and trolls becoz, in today’s India, Nehru is the prime villain. Yet I couldn’t stop myself from saying it again - Bro Nehru was different and you will never even come close to him, irrespective of your electoral victories. Cope it harder.

Do you remember this #IndianBrave? He was just 5 months in service, and a few months short of his 23rd birthday when he made the supreme sacrifice #LestWeForgetIndia🇮🇳 Second Lieutenant Rishi Malhotra, Kirti Chakra (P), 8 MARATHA LI laid down his life fighting terrorists in Doda, J&K #OnThisDay 20 May in 1994 On 18 May 1994, 2/Lt Malhotra was tasked to search and destroy a hideout of militants in the area of Lai Dramman in Doda district of Jammu & Kashmir. 2/Lt Malhotra led one platoon and selected an extremely difficult route in high-altitude jungle terrain to achieve surprise. After covering a distance of 30 Km over two consecutive nights, he cordoned off the militant hideout during the early morning hours of 20 May 1994. The move of his column with utmost stealth and guile took the militants by complete surprise. He then moved towards the hideout and engaged the militants with a very heavy volume of fire. Unmindful of his personal safety and displaying valour of an extremely high order, 2/Lt Malhotra kept advancing towards the hideout. An intense firefight with the militants ensued at close quarters, during which the actions of 2/Lt Malhotra were conspicuously aggressive and exemplary. He received bullet wounds on the chest while covering the last few yards to the hideout. Despite being gravely injured, he reached the hideout and killed two anti-national elements at point-blank range before succumbing to his wounds. The two dead bodies of militants along with two AK-56 rifles, just a few paces from where the #IndianBrave had laid down his life was a testimony to his raw guts and unflinching resolve For this supreme act of valour and sacrifice, 2/Lt Rishi Malhotra was awarded the #KirtiChakra posthumously. Remember the young gallant Indian Brave - his service and supreme sacrifice for the Nation always. 🏵️
