@Aussie_Lakers Ayton is a pretty good defender when he is locked in only issue is he only does that every 5 games or so. Gafford gives consistently above average defensive production which is why he's valued and Ayton isn't.

He is literally a worse defender then Ayton

Kidd didn’t lose 2 consecutive games in the 2024 playoffs a single time until the finals because he made the right coaching changes He developed Giannis and Flagg by playing them at pg and putting the ball in their hands for development No I didn’t love the basketball I’ve been watching for the last 2 seasons but yall should’ve kept him AT LEAST to develop pick 9 Kidd is a playoffs coach not a regular season one I really hate this for the Mavs. There aren’t any good candidates for the job either

@Paul_Ryan15 @Mavs_FFL Most likely this, it will also help recuperate his value. If he comes in as top 15 player in the world Kyrie and the Mavs are fighting for a play-in spot they most likely move him for a decent haul.

Masai probably doesn't want someone trying to grab at his job. I think people who pretend Kidd was the worst coach ever are going too far but he isn't irreplaceable.
