There’s no need to disenfranchise tens of millions because you don’t understand that birth certificates and marriage licenses can take weeks to months (it varies) to mail.

That is a complete LIE. It takes 7 days if you don't pay to expedite. And you get it from the county, not the city. Privileged or not (and I am not) you are responsible for you. No one should let their vote be diluted by fraud because some poor retard made bad decisions with their vital documents or cannot find the brain cells to figure out how to get copies.

Providing a birth certificate to register is something you only have to do when you move and should be required. I have no problem with idiots that don't know how to get it, not voting. OR people that are too lazy to get it. Just like we do NOT need a federal holiday for voting. If you don't care enough about preforming your civic duty to make time to do it, I would just as soon you don't. But then again, if I had my way, most would be ineligible to vote. I firmly believe that net-tax payers (federal) should only vote in federal elections unless retired. If you pay 1200 in payroll taxes but get back $8000 in EIC, you don't pay federal taxes. Redistribution beneficiaries should not be allowed to vote themselves more of other peoples money. To that end, all federal welfare should be ended. If your COUNTY wants to provide, vote for it, and pay for it, on a county level and see how long it lasts. Government run closer to the people is more accountable to the people. Corruption will end! And when no one can enrich themselves, the welfare state will end and true charity will be revived. Forced charity through threat of violence (taxation and redistribution) destroys the charitable heart.

Well, yes. Welcome to the last decade of Dunn/Wilks influence in Texas politics. (Google it) Where it is not possible to be too far to the right to win a GOP primary (the more racism the better!) but then once in office you vote to massively expand government through privatization of public services (most recently school vouchers), do NOTHING to lower taxes (except for Elon Musk, of course), and then the people that elected you are mad because they voted for racism, not the expansion of government and higher taxes, so everyone starts pointing the finger at everyone else calling people RINOs or secret Democrats (like bro how did WE get pulled into this mess) and yet despite cycle after cycle of broken promises, they still vote for Republicans because Democrats are literally satan or something - because in the land of politics as a team sport, Texas GOP voters believe that despite over 30 years of chances, that Republicans will somehow come to their rescue as deeply as they believe that the Cowboys will win the Superbowl next year. Off the rails is an understatement.

I have ZERO problem providing my birth certificate to register. I know Bernie Sanders said he doesn't know how to get his birth certificate, but maybe he shouldn't be representing anyone in congress if he can't do that. But to vote, once registered, you just have to show ID. Why is that such a problem with people (other than it makes cheating harder)?
