At the Renewed Hope Global Tour in Cotonou, Republic of Benin, I was conferred with the National Energy Transformation Leadership Award in recognition of my profound commitment to advancing Nigeria’s energy transition. This honour heralds a leadership journey defined by clarity of vision, rare determination, and an undaunting drive toward renewable energy expansion, solarisation initiatives, and a more sustainable and inclusive energy future for Nigeria and the wider region under the Renewed Hope Agenda. __DAM

At the @RenewedHopeUK Global Tour in Cotonou, I had the privilege of contributing to a critical conversation on Nigeria’s energy future and its role in regional development. The engagement provided a strong platform to highlight ongoing efforts at the Energy Commission of Nigeria towards expanding access to clean, reliable, and sustainable energy, with particular emphasis on solarisation and innovation-driven solutions. It was also a valuable opportunity to engage with policymakers, development partners, and investors on how energy remains central to economic growth, regional integration, and the delivery of the Renewed Hope Agenda. Grateful for the recognition and the continued opportunity to serve in advancing Nigeria’s energy transformation and shared prosperity across the sub-region. __DAM

Today, I had the honour of flagging off the Renewed Hope Solarization Project, a 1MW mini-grid initiative at @BUK_Nigeria. This project represents a significant step in our commitment to delivering sustainable, reliable, and clean energy to critical institutions across Nigeria. Following comprehensive energy audits and careful evaluation of the university’s needs, a modern LONGi solar PV system has been deployed to provide efficient and dependable power across the campus. As part of this intervention, we also commissioned 200 solar-powered streetlights to enhance safety and expand energy access within the university environment. I commend the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Haruna Musa, for his leadership and collaboration in advancing this initiative. Bayero University Kano remains a strategic institution, and we are proud to support its growth and development. I am also honoured to have received an award from the Vice-Chancellor in recognition of our efforts. At the Energy Commission of Nigeria, we remain focused on translating policy into tangible impact, driving the Renewed Hope Agenda through innovative, inclusive, and sustainable energy solutions. #RenewedHopeSolarization #EnergyReforms __DAM

O believers, when the call for the Friday prayer is announced, hasten towards the remembrance of Allah and leave aside your trade and worldly activities. This is far better for you, if only you understood. Then once the prayer has been completed, spread out across the land and seek the blessings and provision of Allah, and remember Him often so that you may attain success. May Allah accept all our Ibadah, forgive our sins, and grant us success in this life and the Hereafter🤲🏽 #JummahMubarak __DAM

It’s the last day of 2025, the year that tested the foundations of the system the world built 80 years ago. Yet time and again, our shared humanity pushed us to keep working, every single day, for peace, dignity and human rights for all. As we enter 2026, let us do so with the same energy, solidarity and hope.
