We forced his hand when we didn't offer a contract at all. We could have offered something reasonable less than max. Then we moved him and didn't get any assets we can trade to get better. If y'all want me to be quiet, tell them to get a better #1 scorer in here than Trae was. Otherwise this was dumb, dumb, dumb.

Trae HAS to carry the scoring burden because he’s incapable of playing off ball.

It makes sense to my why he couldn't carry this roster. But this team was 5th in the East with Trae taking a step back as JJ emerged. Then he got injured and Dre was traded. There is a value to being 3rd All Time in APG. He never should have had to carry in scoring but we had no one else. Magic & Stockton were never asked to be their team's leading scorer for a season.
