@bla_woofer The Strathmore I have, 400 smooth bristol, is woefully expensive to use for a sketch. But you can buy a bunch of Neenah cardstock for sketching without sticker shock. I use 199 gsm, which is also suitable for alcohol markers.

@RandoPlan they both sound really thick! does it mean they are fine for cheap sketches? or would it be a waste and its really expensive? and thanks so much for the pointers!!

i researched and the problem seems to be i used too rough grainy paper (and it wears down normally with time) which paper sketchbook paper type should i use!🎨
