@Alarsenalnews_ Yes he is. His availability ratio is top notch, his positioning helps the team 'control' games better, tho he gassed out towards the end, it's expected, considering it's his first season plus MLK wasn't ready to play in the midfield till the end. Next season will be better.

In 2020, ex Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey arrived Arsenal from Athletico Madrid in a £45 million pounds transfer
In his first season, Thomas Partey made 35 appearances across all competitions
25 appearances in the premier league and 10 others in cup competitions
Thomas Partey had two assists and zero goal
Six years later, Martin Zubimendi joined Arsenal from Real Sociedad in Spain
In his first season at Arsenal, Zubimendi 53 appearances for Arsenal scoring 7 goals across all competitions
In the premier league, Zubimendi made 35 appearances scoring 5 goals and 1 assist
That's 6 goals contributions in the premier league alone plus two other goals in cup competition
This is not to compare Thomas Partey with Martin Zubimendi, but to show that Martin Zubimendi is having a better first season at Arsenal than Thomas Partey.
From their first season at Arsenal, Martin Zubimendi has done more than Thomas
To play 53 games with 7 goals in his first season in a new club is no joke
I laugh when I see some Arsenal fans make negative remarks about Martin Zubimendi . It makes me sick.
Martin Zubimendi was one of the reasons Arsenal did so well in the first round of the league
Recall, Arsenal lost only two matches across all competitions during the first round of the league
Yes , Martin Zubimendi's poor form was due to fatigue.
He was fatigued because of too many games
Martin Zubimendi deserves respect for what he has done this season
I still believe he is a better player than Thomas Partey.
This is no debate. The figures are there

I don't give two fúcks about Morris Monye.
In fact I and him blocked each other on these streets since 2023.
But I believe he's a passionate warrior who missed way. We are young and can be overzealous sometimes.
I'd rather fight alongside a fierce and fearless Monye who's not scared to go against ANYONE than with a cówardly Sissy like Sim Fubara who I heard has purchased the form.
I plead with Obidients to shelve emotions. MORRIS IS A PLUS TO ANY TEAM.
My humble submission though

"Some men change their party for the sake of their principles; others change their principles for the sake of their party." Winston Churchill
Today, May 9th, I attended the 1st convention of my latest party, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Abuja, Nigeria. The convention was successful and continued to show the resilience of Nigerians to change
I express my sincere appreciation and gratitude to the NDC family, led by the distinguished Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, for inviting us and for the generosity of spirit with which they have accommodated us at this critical moment in our national journey.
I also wish to express profound gratitude to the African Democratic Congress(ADC), particularly Distinguished Senator David Mark, for providing a democratic platform and showing uncommon understanding when the ongoing litigation forced us out of the Labour Party and the New Nigeria People's Party, NNPP respectively. That spirit of solidarity must remain the foundation upon which a better Nigeria will be built.
Today, the most painful aspect of our political existence is that many who once benefited from democratic governance have now become willing accessories to the destruction of democracy itself. Those who once fought for justice now openly celebrate electoral injustice. Those who once spoke against impunity now defend coercion, manipulation, intimidation, and outright political gangsterism, especially against opposition voices. What we are witnessing is not politics; it is a systematic assault on democracy and the will of the people.
Nigeria today stands at a dangerous crossroads. Our democracy is under severe threat. Our nation is drifting without direction, and our people are passing through immense suffering. Across the world, Nigeria is increasingly described as a failing and disgraced nation. This is not the destiny God ordained for our great country. It was not always so, and it must never be allowed to remain so.
Across virtually every recognised indicator of good governance - accountability, political stability, rule of law, control of corruption, government effectiveness, regulatory quality, and the separation of powers - Nigeria continues to record alarming failures. The institutions that should protect the people are weakening daily, while the burden on ordinary citizens grows heavier with each passing moment.
Today, over 140 million Nigerians live in multidimensional poverty. Tens of millions of young people remain unemployed or underemployed. Inflation continues to crush families. Businesses are shutting down. Farmers can no longer safely access their farms. Communities live in fear. In this month alone, hundreds of innocent Nigerians have lost their lives to insecurity, while many others have been kidnapped, displaced, or thrown deeper into poverty.
The most heartbreaking question confronting us is this: Who consoles the grieving mother whose child was abducted on the way to school? Who speaks for the father who can no longer feed his family despite working every day? Who defends the young Nigerian whose dreams have been destroyed by a nation that rewards connections over competence and corruption over character?
Our present tragedy is not accidental. It is the direct consequence of years of deliberate sabotage by a political class that prospers by dividing the people and weakening the nation. Nigeria is not a poor country; rather, we are being looted into poverty. We have abundant human and natural resources, yet we remain trapped in deprivation because leadership has failed to place the common good above personal interest.
Our choice as a people is therefore clear: whether to surrender to despair and national decline, or to summon the courage to rescue our country and rebuild it on the foundations of unity, equity, justice, competence, and productivity.

He might not have scored tonight, but WOW. What a performance from Viktor Gyokeres in a Champions League semi-final tonight.
Incredible Viktor, incredible.
Mikel Arteta said his players would take to the pitch like beats tonight. Well Viktor Gyokeres battled like a beast for the whole 90 minutes.

@MD_Uzorma Live am for us, we love his confusion, we love am like dat, focus on your candidate in peace ...
English

If confusion was a person, it would be Peter Obi.
Someone that is not consistent and can't coordinate his party, wants to rule Nigeria. So if he becomes the president and he didn't succeed in making Nigeria better, will he leave Nigeria and become a Ghanaian or Togolese?
RUTH 🇨🇦@it_Rutie
Peter Obi has resigned from ADC party.
English

@abbkar_ai Politics is a game of numbers, since Peter and Kwankwaso aren't there again, pls you guys should mobilise for Atiku as he's the most popular politician in the north who's is also very much loved on the south 😅😅
English

This is my stance. My final stance. Please read carefully.
1. I am part of the coalition; I support ADC fully.
2. The only way Tinubu can be defeated in 2027 is through the coalition, and anyone trying to divide the coalition is working for Tinubu.
3. I will not follow either Peter Obi or Kwankwaso out of ADC.
4. As I have said before, there are no free meals in ADC.
5. How do you plan to defeat Tinubu with all his machinations if you cannot win the primaries of your party?
6. Anyone afraid to contest the ADC primaries is a coward and does not deserve my support.
7. You claim Atiku wants to dollarize the ADC primaries, and so what? We all know there will be no delegates at the primaries, so why not play the same game and win?
8. This is the game Tinubu is playing.
9. Are you suggesting that Atiku is richer and more financially capable than Peter Obi and Kwankwaso combined, including their supporters?
10. Are we saying Obi and Kwankwaso cannot pool their funds to win the ADC primaries?
10b. Nigerians are not looking for saints. We want a man with the capacity to lead. If you need to spend money to get there, please do so. It's part of politics played all over the world.
10c. None of these aspirants is a saint. None! So, spend the money. Mobilize voters and win the primaries.
11. We all agree to support anyone who wins the ADC primaries, and that's where I stand.
12. Anybody leaving ADC at this critical time is working for Tinubu’s re-election.
13. You will never win on your own in any other party.
14. Don't let your personal ego, greed, and ambition jeopardize the futures of millions of Nigerians looking to you for salvation.
15. Let's go to the primaries, play the politics, and win. This is the only way you will earn respect within ADC, and it’s the only way to prove you are ready and capable of defeating Tinubu.
16. Fight and win the ADC primaries than cowardly chickenning out to a soft landing that will be a complete waste of time. I have no interest in a wild goose chase.
17. There will be no free meals or freebies in ADC. There will be no coronation in ADC.
17a. If Atiku step-down for Obi at the primaries, will Tibubu also step down for Obi at the presidential elections?
17b. This is a battle for men and not for boys.
18. Let the primaries begin.

I am not one to be deceived, nor do I suffer from selective amnesia. I recall vividly the events of July 2nd, 2025, at the Shehu Musa Yaradua Centre in Abuja, during the unveiling of the African Democratic Congress (ADC). The event proceeded seamlessly, with all invited dignitaries in attendance, including former Governor Peter Obi.
As proceedings progressed, the interim chairman at the time, Distinguished Senator David Mark, was invited to deliver his maiden address. Just before his remarks, ADC staff began distributing ADC-branded caps to dignitaries seated at the high table. It was at this precise moment and without any announcement or provocation that Peter Obi abruptly stood up and walked out of the hall where the event was happening. The timing was far too calculated to be coincidental.
Every other dignitary at the high table received an ADC branded cap and wore it proudly, except for Datti Ahmed, who remained seated during the distribution but conspicuously refused to accept one. Meanwhile, as the event dragged, Obi had no choice but to return to the hall. However, he cunningly never returned to his seat. Instead, he lingered awkwardly by the side of the stage for the remainder of the event, strategically positioning himself out of view of both the media cameras and the ADC branded materials. His seat remained conspicuously vacant from the moment he stood up until the conclusion of the programme.
This was no accident. It was a deliberately choreographed act of political duplicity. A cunningly devised act that was meant to project deniability while benefiting from the optics of association. What Peter Obi and Datti Ahmed exhibited that day was not principled politics, but a masterclass in subtle sabotage. Their actions were guided not by transparency, but by calculation. In a moment that called for clarity and conviction, both men chose concealment and cowardice.
Let it be said plainly: Peter Obi and Datti Ahmed are not the saints their supporters believe them to be. Their insincerity is so deeply embedded, it rivals, if not exceeds, the well-documented falsehoods of the Bola Tinubu administration. Beneath their self-righteousness lies the same old politics of manipulation, self-preservation, and duplicity. Their sneaky theatrics on July 2nd proved one thing unmistakably: you don’t need to say a word to lie. Sometimes, all it takes is silence and a well-timed exit.

@Buchi_Laba I believe that it's his life mission to rescue this nation, just like his name entails, the new Nigerian will be built by and on @PeterObi

Peter Obi mistake was joining ADC with the thinking that everything will be free and fair. Its disappointing that he doesn’t know that these elite politicians hate* him because he looks like the only person that has a great Manifesto and wants to work.. and if you show working you’re making these zombies parading as Politician’s look bad. They detest him!
I don’t know why Peter Obi is even stressing himself about Nigeria and Nigerians that don’t know their problems. You have made crazy money and have a beautiful wife and children!! Baba go and spend your money! Enjoy your life because sadly there’s no hope for Nigerians.
This country and her people is really not worth the Sacrifices being made by Peter Obi. Honestly.

@Alameenzabi @Eze_Wilberforce Sorry you guys ev!l plan didn't work, 2027 go shock una
English

@Eze_Wilberforce Hhh keep deceiving your self, the only thing that will defeat tinubu is coalition, unfortunately atiku selfish interests scattered the coalition I have lost hope
English

Obi and Dickson had a meeting last year.
Dickson went ahead and formed the NDC.
Obi knew Tinubu would try to shatter the ADC coalition, so he moved ahead of time.
El-Rufai said last December that the ADC coalition was just a temporary solution.
These men are several steps ahead of Tinubu this time.
Now both Obi and Kwankwaso have defected to the NDC. El-Rufai will join them next week.
Atiku and Tinubu didn’t see it coming.

Peter Obi and the cross of a nation
Peter Obi’s political journey in Nigeria has, in many ways, come to resemble a quiet but persistent carrying of a cross – marked by endurance, conviction, and a deep commitment to principle in the face of resistance. From his emergence on the national stage to his current role as a leading voice in public discourse, he stands as the personification of a stoic political faith, proving that the cost of integrity is high, but the price of its absence is the slow decay of the soul of a nation...

@UchePOkoye Obi collapsed his structure in labour party into ADC, kwankwaso came with his strongholds from NNPP.
What structure did Atiku collapse into ADC after he was chased away from PDP by Wike? Nill, none!
Even atiku's son joined the APC
