I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of my friend, Joseph Tamale Mirundi. As a journalist, civil servant, and social-political commentator, Mirundi made significant contributions to his country, and his loss leaves a great void. My sympathies go out to counsel John Mirundi, the entire family, his friends, and relatives. May his soul rest in peace.

@ntvkenya I think we need to be able to manage the large population better instead of worrying about managing 10 billion people. Let's think about solutions instead of listing more problems. That population is inevitable, so we have to plan for it.

The health of the economy is going to need handling with surgical precision if it is to survive the coming storm. Parliament needs to guide the taking of money out of the consolidated pool while prioritising the development of startups to sustain the economy.

Uganda's development could be better. But it is important to note that it is organic, not forced. It is profit-oriented. So when we get a stadium like this, it will be because someone saw that it would be profitable, & not just because it looks nice. Ug is more of a free market.
