🚨REMEMBER: THE GOV'T OF CANADA OWNS THIS LAND. But get this... The Gov't of Canada leases it to Maritime Launch for $13,500 a year... ...who then fucking leases it back to the Government of Canada for $20 million a year!!! WHAT ARE WE EVEN DOING HERE? (I am so sick of Liberal corruption - people need to start going to prison.)

The land under these panels will never be farmed again. Potato growing associations nationwide will not buy potatoes grown on ex-solar sites. Why? The panels leach heavy metals, as well as drop glass shards and microplastics onto the soil below them. In a mass commercial arrangement, vegetation below the panels is soaked in herbicides. The fertile farmland is gone forever.

@DennisKalma @Reil76 I wish more people your age would open their eyes to reality. Most seem to be hanging onto the idea of what Canada used to be.

I am native Albertan, 70 years old and have gone from an ardent Canadian nationalist to an independence seeker. Why? Because I see no path to revamp the country, clean up its constitution, balance its electoral representation and fix the structural economic transfers embedded in the Charter. I see no way for the Maritimes, Quebec, Ontario, the West and First Nations to ever come to agreement on the kind of fundamental changes necessary to "fix" Canada. I see no interest from the rest of Canada to undo the horrid changes made by P. Trudeau that changed the highest power in the land from Parliament to the unelected courts. So, more in sorrow than in anger, its time to leave. Feel free to rebut my points as you see fit. To date, there has been nothing but fear-mongering in response, never concrete plans to actually fix Canada.

Funny thing about the loudest voices screaming about Alberta separation and how Alberta gets “robbed” by Confederation… Half of them moved here from Ontario or BC in the last 10 years. Born in Brampton. Grew up in Burnaby. Never sweated through a single boom and bust cycle. Never watched their town empty out when oil dropped to $30. Never actually built anything here. But now they’re on X telling actual Albertans that the only solution is to blow up the country. Meanwhile the guy whose family has been farming outside Ponoka for four generations, whose dad worked the rigs, whose kids go to the same school he went to… he wants a better deal inside Canada. He wants Ottawa to respect the province. He doesn’t want to torch 150 years of shared history because some guy who got here in 2019 is feeling dramatic. Western alienation is a real and legitimate grievance. Equalization is genuinely unfair. The energy sector has been punched in the face by federal policy for years. Those are real conversations worth having. But separation cosplay from people who couldn’t find Lloydminster on a map before they moved here for the wages? That’s not Alberta pride. You know who you are fuckers!!

Prayer is not about informing God like He doesn’t already know what’s happening in your life. He already knows your needs, your struggles, your fears, and even the things you haven’t said out loud yet. Prayer is about relationship. It’s about spending time with God. Trusting Him. Depending on Him. Opening your heart to Him. And sometimes prayer is less about changing God’s mind and more about changing our hearts. The more you pray, the more your desires start aligning with His will. Even Jesus prayed constantly. Not because He needed information from heaven, but because He valued fellowship with the Father. That alone says a lot. Prayer is not a performance or a religious activity. It’s communion with God.

@jonkay Because Canadians have had it up to their eyeballs with the massive invasion of Indians and other Third Worlders, together with the cultural tsunami it has brought with it. Canadians want their country and their culture back.

Mark Carney has now made it obvious: Ottawa will use the Clarity Act as a gatekeeping tool against Alberta independence. Quebec responded to the Clarity Act with Bill 99, a law asserting Quebec’s right to self-determination, defending the authority of its National Assembly, and recognizing that a referendum is decided by a majority of valid votes cast. Alberta needs its own Bill 99. The future of Alberta should be decided by Albertans, not by the House of Commons.

We DONT have 1st Amendment rights, 2nd amendment rights, Miranda rights 4th amendment right Or 5th amendment rights.... In 🇨🇦, thats US rights only! In fact with new federal bills some of those rights are actually illegal in Canada by law! Alberta needs to separate!

A referendum on having a referendum. Hold a vote on the ability to vote. Hold a meeting to plan the next meeting. Asking to be allowed to ask a question. Meanwhile.... The economy is being blocked and slowed. The social fabric is weaking and tearing. Patience is wearing thin.

@RonVoss5 @ABDanielleSmith Even the Lukasuk petition that CHIEF ALAN ADAM SIGNED called for a binary yes/no question on Independence. @ABDanielleSmith straight up lied to Albertans tonight. Both judges said that she could call the Sylvestre question under S.1 of The Referendum Act. She knows that.

To my fellow independence supporters: It is time to cross the Rubicon. We must fully commit to independence. No turning back. As Canada is accelerating toward an authoritarian police state, it will not matter who the Premier is if we can’t get there before the end of the year. Therefore: 1. 22 UCP Constituency Associations (CA’s) must simultaneously pass a motion to convene a Special General Meeting (SGM) for a leadership review. 2. Danielle Smith must be removed and a pro independence Premier voted-in. 3. Once the new Premier is sworn in, a motion to halt the current referendum, and replace it with a binding constitutional referendum on secession must be passed. Concerns about vote splitting must be ignored as the Smith UCP or the NDP being in charge will be irrelevant once Canada has implemented all the destruction that’s currently on the horizon. Remember: - 88% of our trade is with the United States. - The US is by all indications going to announce the cancellation of CUSMA July 1st. - This will begin a 6 month countdown before the treaty lapses. We cannot afford to wait. And we have no power to stop anything that Ottawa is doing due to Carney’s majority in the House of Commons along with the 100 out of 105 senators that were appointed by Trudeau.

Watching the drama unfold around the referendum discussion is, to me, just so incredibly silly. I cannot believe we are at a point where we are seriously entertaining theatrics about whether citizens should even be allowed to pose a question, instead of having mature discussions about what the question actually means, the potential consequences, the legal realities, the risks, the benefits, and the broader future of the province and country. That is what democracy is supposed to be. Not fear of discussion. Not attempts to shut conversations down before they even happen. Not treating citizens like they are incapable of hearing ideas, thinking critically, and making decisions for themselves. A referendum question is not automatic implementation. It is a mechanism to gauge public support and force public discussion on an issue of significant importance. Democracies should not be afraid of asking questions. If anything, they should be afraid of preventing them. If people believe an idea is flawed, unrealistic, harmful, or unsupported, then make the argument. Present the evidence. Debate the issue openly and honestly. Trust citizens enough to engage with the substance instead of trying to suppress the conversation itself. Because once a society becomes more concerned with controlling what questions can be asked than debating the answers, we are moving in a very dangerous direction. When will we turn things back right side up in this upside down world?
