This mornings unemployment figures are deeply, deeply concerning. The country is now suffering 5% unemployment with over 100,000 job losses in the last year alone, and the fewest jobs available since the peak of the pandemic where no one was hiring for evident reasons. Government decisions have caused businesses to have to make cuts, or close down, and that’s being felt by our young people most of all, and our communities as unemployment rises.
