Yoto player is a fantastic invention. We have them for our kids. We were thinking about giving them tape players to listen to stuff but then we discovered the Yoto and it achieves the same thing in a more modern way.
They have great stories, classics, and geography, science and stuff like that too. Our kids honestly learn a lot of great stuff from them.
A great alternative to screens on long trips etc.. Listening to something is different than watching. I think it's because when listening we still have to use our imagination in some way. Like listening to a book, or a radio broadcast (in the old days) etc... I think there is a little more going on in our brain.
Yoto is good.

Another iPad alternative is the Yoto player - audiobooks, podcasts, and music for kids. They also have an amazing BBC-style daily news report! Strong recommend.

Once the card is inserted in the Yoto while connected to WiFi, it will initiate the download. You used to have to take the card out and plug in the Yoto for it to finish downloading but I think they fixed that in an OS update.
Pro tip: just buy the blank cards and visit your local library for any child friendly audiobook.

@RegretfullyMe @owroot I mean all the cards work offline no?

Tesla has shared some tips in the Model Y Owners Manual to extend the lifespan of your vehicle’s battery.
• Charge at Level 1 or Level 2 (e.g. wall outlets or Tesla Wall Chargers) whenever possible. Save the Supercharging for road trips or long drives.
• For vehicles with a recommended daily charge limit of 80%, keep your daily charge limit at about 80. Save 100% for those times when you've got a long drive ahead of you. See Charge Settings.
• Charge more frequently. Waiting until the Battery is low to charge can strain the Battery over time.
• Avoid leaving the Battery at or near 0% or 100% for long periods of time whenever possible.
• When you store Model Y for long periods of time, leave the Battery at around 50% charge and keep it plugged in if possible. Use the charge settings to maintain the 50% level.

@OutofGalaxyy This is a nice QoL for me and my wife. Saying “Siri on my way” and it texts the other person your home arrival time

English

@chewbacapalapa It's real. Just doesn't make a big enough difference to most people except those towing or using the entirety of their battery frequently
Especially for people only keeping their car for a couple years

Worrying about battery health isn't worth it.
We supercharge our Cybertruck all the time with a 100% charge limit and it's at 3.8% degradation at 21,000 miles.
Our "babied" (AC charged) Model Y is at 17,000 miles and 9.5% degradation.
Just use em and abuse em!

@CraigCounts @TheRealCruzOx The crowd at Alabama games chants ad-libs during "Dixieland Delight," including "ON BEER," "ROLL TIDE," "AGAINST THE WALL," "ALL NIGHT," "FUCK AUBURN," "AND LSU," and "AND TENNESSEE TOO." The explicit parts led to its ban from 2015-2018.

The Dixieland Delight that got it banned for 4 years. You had to be there.
