10 observations as a 26 year old bachelor living in Miami 1. So much plastic surgery. >30% of women have botox, lip filler, and/or fake breasts. Especially women under 30 2. Uber Eats usage spiraling out of control. Restaurants are empty but 3-4 Uber Eats drivers in my elevator every time 3. When do people work? Pools/gyms are packed at 1 pm 4. Tipping culture is getting egregious. They now include 20% service fee at most restaurants + coffee shops AND have the audacity to ask for 8, 12, 15% ADDITIONAL tip 5. Extremely tacky. Made me hate G Wagons/Cybertrucks 6. Very diverse professions. A lot of non college hustlers work in Real Estate/Sales/Personal Brands/Crypto 7. City is slowly losing its soul. Every other day I see a mom & pop restaurant close for a $30/meal corporate chain to open weeks later 8. Going out is ridiculously expensive. Restaurants not worth the price & $25 drinks get old very fast 9. Huge health culture. People are very fit/generally better looking 10. Little to no sense of community. PvP environment prevalent in Latin America is very present in Miami

@yacineMTB I disagree. I know people who have kids with serious serious tik tok addictions. Like disturbing behavior. Very young kids r using it, as a parent it's quite scary trying to keep this stuff away from kids and watching kids their age fiend over short form video like addicts

The really amazing thing about the insurmountable amount of damage being caused by short form video is that there is a small group of people responsible for it who work at YouTube that are jamming shorts down every chance they can get, so it is easily solvable

No Biden was terrible for crypto because he sued Coinbase, Uniswap, and pretty much every other US crypto company. He orchestrated Operetion Chokepoint 2.0. He had the FBI raid Polymarket CEO at his home. That’s why Biden was terrible for crypto. It’s so unbelievably obvious that anyone who says otherwise clearly has a major case of TDS.

I don’t disagree with the sentiment and when posed against the left govt stance it’s no doubt positive but the loosening of regs allowing predatory players to freely bundle, pump and dump which leads to projects and insider investors to use tokens as a profit mechanism instead of shared equity is undoubtedly negative not positive If the Trump admin brings some kind of equity equivalent rights to tokens it could change but they seem content with no rules Wild West so the profiteering can continue for insiders and Silicon Valley and binance so I’m quite bearish on it getting any better under this admin

I stood up an irl account months ago and engage in new niches and communities. It’s been refreshing and made me more depressed about the state of crypto. I do hope things like defi and nfts (unique digital items not pfps) do make a real enduring comeback after a proper washout of all the insider scams and pvp in raises and token launches. I was prepared for Blast knowing same team did Blur dirty. Monad had a lot of great people behind it and great intentions but couldn’t avoid a similar fate, same for pengu. I think the legitimization of current shady practices by this administration has ruined it for everyone and the masses won’t return until the powers that extract have all left. Could take years. Meantime I’ll keep an eye over here and watch the people I’ve grown to love but seek to branch out to other areas with this account and the other I launched months ago. I love you all very much there are lots of good people in crypto that deserved so much better.

Since X has become such a dumpster fire, I decided to try out the new Base App It's clear Coinbase is making a big bet on social being a huge component for their "everything app" And I like it. But there's a lot of work to do You can double tap and "like" a post by buying a portion of the post (buy as little as $0.10) and the creator makes money off the fees - all integrated via Zora Coins natively integrated to a social media app feels powerful/interesting However, *most* of Crypto Twitter isn't a video/picture content creator And are exhausted from the relentless memecoinification of everything the last 18 months But I think with the tailwinds of: - X being a complete nightmare and becoming unusable - Creator economy continuing to be a narrative in Crypto / in general - Imminent Base token launch As a creator I have a real big interest in starting to post there and monetize my content in different ways Probably one of the more interesting narratives to watch for in Crypto imo
