Hooray for Pumpkin Day! Thanks for spreading the love, @FirstBook ❤️🎃❤️
First Book@FirstBook
It's #NationalPumpkinDay! Celebrate by reading @janaybrownwood's book, Amara's Farm, illustrated by Samara Hardy. Playful text guides readers to hunt for visual clues & compare the characteristics of pumpkins against other produce on Amara's farm. - bit.ly/3TKJLGL

@Kenny_DB1983 I motion an annual trip to Spain to celebrate International Coffee Day with a group of polyglots & polyglots-in-training. Will anyone second the motion? #InternationalCoffeeDay #polyglots #travel

@procm2 @DaddyisBest @msparentguru @jvbt82hhs @HomeWithPeanut The wonderful thing about technology is that we are able to support each other and encourage the world to see dads in a new and positive way. I have a busy schedule, but I will find the time to Zoom or FaceTime with anyone who needs a dad pep talk or Q&A. #dads #parenting

@DaddyisBest @msparentguru @jvbt82hhs @HomeWithPeanut @Remys_Dad I understand once I went back work it was hard too
English

@DaddyisBest @msparentguru @procm2 @jvbt82hhs @HomeWithPeanut Men may have not been programmed or conditioned to be naturally nurturing as mothers. I don't have any research to prove that. However, I have seen a number of dads step up and embrace their role and be as nurturing and loving as some of the moms I see.
English

@msparentguru @procm2 @jvbt82hhs @HomeWithPeanut @Remys_Dad Of course, I'm generalizing, but that's the point, those that want to help and do a "good job" don't always find appreciation or satisfaction from that. So, we're stuck. Where do we go for help? But, we're men and not supposed to ask for help anyway... And 3/

@procm2 @msparentguru @DaddyisBest @jvbt82hhs @HomeWithPeanut I’ve spent years being the only dad or one of two at story time, swim lessons, the park in the mornings, and at medical appointments. The important part is to understand that you are making a connection & impact on your child that they will remember forever.

@procm2 It is also hard when you have multiple children. My 6 year old is great at doing new things on his own. However my 3 year old sometimes needs me to be there with him until he feels more comfortable. Have you been able to get any "why is school scary" answers?
English

@Remys_Dad Yes that the hardest part. I can’t work and doctors so expensive and take forever to get in
English

Yes 👍

@procm2 @msparentguru @DaddyisBest @jvbt82hhs @HomeWithPeanut I have watched a dad try to do the quite forceful whisper to his daughter to get her to go to school and it didn't work. It is hard to realize that kids have many fears that may not be logical to us. Sometimes they fear the unknown
QST

@procm2 @msparentguru @DaddyisBest @jvbt82hhs @HomeWithPeanut I support any parent and parents who want to homeschool and if that is the best fit for your child, it may be easier and better to spend time and money on finding the resources to help you get help in the areas you need.

@Remys_Dad @msparentguru @DaddyisBest @jvbt82hhs @HomeWithPeanut If he was younger I jisr do home schooling but 5th grade out of my wheel house. I could do k-3 easly
English

@procm2 Sometimes it is the fear of missing out on being home. Without having any psychology credentials, I can say that fears are better treated with a gradual positive process.

@Remys_Dad @msparentguru @DaddyisBest @jvbt82hhs @HomeWithPeanut 10. 5th grade. First time he goes school without his sister since she in 6th grade

@msparentguru @DaddyisBest @jvbt82hhs @HomeWithPeanut @Remys_Dad Most parents around here who I talk to think this is crazy and jisr force him to go. I tried that last year and for days he would hide under his bed
English

@msparentguru @procm2 @DaddyisBest @jvbt82hhs @HomeWithPeanut Most dads have an ingrained belief that we need to "man up" & not have feelings. However, the 2nd reason is most women who provide services address their audience w/ "hey mamas" or "for all you moms..." which produces a feeling of being excluded & not welcomed. #parenting
