At #EAIF2026, ARE opened a new era. For more than 20 years, the Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE) has advanced clean energy access and decentralised renewable energy solutions across emerging markets. Our mission remains rooted in accelerating sustainable electrification through the private sector, while expanding our focus to support the full renewable electrification ecosystem. From rural communities to commercial and industrial offtakers, from decentralised systems to utility-scale integration, we continue building partnerships and scalable renewable energy solutions across Africa, Asia Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean. 🍃 @ENGIE_EnergyAcc is at the forefront of delivering affordable, clean, and reliable energy solutions in Uganda. ☀️ Currently, the "Scaling sustainable and inclusive Solar Home Systems" project has installed 2,03 MW of green energy solutions, bringing electricity to 1,248,000 people in off-grid communities, including households, businesses, and farms. 🗣️ "The solar home system has enabled me to sell goods in my shop till late at night and this has increased my earnings. The expenditure on electricity has also drastically reduced.”, said a local business owner. 👥 As part of this financing, three full time employees have been hired so far. Furthermore, customers are trained on self-troubleshooting, making simple reparations more easily accessible.
